4bet size does matter. The bigger it is the better it is for our shoving range.. the smaller it is the better it is for our calling range.

Why is it better for our shoving range when we face a bigger 4bet? Because it has a big impact on our EV when villain folds, I agree. But players that are 4bet bluffing usually don't choose a big 4bet size. (We all know the reasons why) So when players 4bet big with a low frequency we don't need a calling range imo because they always have the top 2.5%

When people 4bet big with high frequency we can better widen our shoving range (instead of calling) right??

And when people 4bet small with high frequency we can have a calling range.

Is that correct thinking Improva?

Because there is more dead money in the pot?

just to clarify... I am talking about someone that min 4 bets IP with both bluffs and value hands and constructing a general strategy against them.

@Improva. What do you think about a 5 bet strategy that only consists of value hands and then calling 4 bets with the hands you mention (minus the 5 bet value hands). Ofc mixing it up a bit and calling some 4 bets with say AA, KK (AK, QQ). If this strategy could work would you prefer shoving as a 5 bet or making a smaller 5 bet?

improva was never talking about players that have low 4bet frequencies. He was saying that all else equal, a bigger 4bet is better for our shoves because there's more money in the pot for us to win.
