Hey guys what's up, hope everyone is doing well. I am looking to purchase a laptop so I can play poker. What would be a decent laptop to buy that can handle multi-tablbling, and downloading poker software? I need something that can handle multi tasking without the screen freezing up or bouncing round, what do you guys recommend.

i would go for minimum intel i5 and 6mb ram. software is getting heavier and hm2 is pretty heavy already. you want to use it a couple years so better invest a little more, its worth it...

Also would this laptop be good enough for poker, and all the software that goes with it? Thanks.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a Dell, but that's only because I absolutely hate the Dell I have right now....

I've had Dells exclusivly for over ten years, about 8 machines between me and my wife. We are both computer proffessionals. I had one desktop that I had to exchange, but absolutely no problems with laptops or my others. I like and trust Dell, usually reccommend them as first choice, but that doesn't mean they are failsafe.

Good luck on your poker and machine.

I'm considering purchasing the alienware 11x gaming laptop for around $850.00, I am trying not to spend $1,000 or more. I just wanted to hear some feedback from you guys if you think this is a good buy for playing poker for a beginner liker myself...Thanks..

11" screen is a huge problem for poker (unless you're stacking tables). It'd be preferable to have at least 13" for 4 tabling and 15" for 6 tabling.

Poker doesn't need huge processing power so rather than buying a "gaming" laptop I would go for a low spec laptop that's lighter and has a bigger screen (if you're not intending on using it for high end gaming).

Yea but doesn't Hold'em manager as well as other poker programs take up a lot of space, also I'm not at a level where I can 4 table yet...
