Hey guys what's up, hope everyone is doing well. I am looking to purchase a laptop so I can play poker. What would be a decent laptop to buy that can handle multi-tablbling, and downloading poker software? I need something that can handle multi tasking without the screen freezing up or bouncing round, what do you guys recommend.

i would go for minimum intel i5 and 6mb ram. software is getting heavier and hm2 is pretty heavy already. you want to use it a couple years so better invest a little more, its worth it...

Personally, I wouldn't buy a Dell, but that's only because I absolutely hate the Dell I have right now....

I've had Dells exclusivly for over ten years, about 8 machines between me and my wife. We are both computer proffessionals. I had one desktop that I had to exchange, but absolutely no problems with laptops or my others. I like and trust Dell, usually reccommend them as first choice, but that doesn't mean they are failsafe.

I'm considering purchasing the alienware 11x gaming laptop for around $850.00, I am trying not to spend $1,000 or more. I just wanted to hear some feedback from you guys if you think this is a good buy for playing poker for a beginner liker myself...Thanks..

11" screen is a huge problem for poker (unless you're stacking tables). It'd be preferable to have at least 13" for 4 tabling and 15" for 6 tabling.

Poker doesn't need huge processing power so rather than buying a "gaming" laptop I would go for a low spec laptop that's lighter and has a bigger screen (if you're not intending on using it for high end gaming).

Yea but doesn't Hold'em manager as well as other poker programs take up a lot of space, also I'm not at a level where I can 4 table yet...
