I am heading to Vegas later this week and will be playing NLHE Thursday,Friday, and Saturday nights.
I mostly play $2/5 but I may play some $5/10.
Do the $2/5 games have a capped buy in? And if so, how much?
My usual $2/5 game is uncapped.
I am staying at the Bellagio and mostly plan on playing there unless you guys have a better recommendation. (where are the easiest games with the most fish and least sharks?)
I would assume that T,F,S nights are good times to play in general.
Thanks in advance for any insights

Bellagio 2/5 are generally good. I've been playing there 6 days a week. If you prefer deeper Aria is easy to get to from B and they have 1000 buy in on the 2/5 game. There is a monorail that runs between the two properties. Wish we could meet up but you're going to be there the exact three days I'll be in Tahoe.

I've been playing $2/5 at the Bellagio
I was surprised to see that the quality of the players is really poor
Maybe one other player per table that has a clue
I am going to try $5/10 at Bellagio or head over to Aria tonight

Overall, the $2/5 game at the Bellagio was soft.
There were generally three types of players:
1) typical calling station
2) aggro bluffer
3) solid but unimaginative regs
I have played $2/5 at many different places and so far Vegas seems to be the softest. I think this may be related to a few things.
1) the better players have many higher limits to choose from
2) the $2/5 game is either capped at 100BB (Bellagio) or 200BB (Aria); the usual game I play in is uncapped and frequently the biggest game so it is much tougher
3) the tourists who don't have a clue that play in the $2/5 game (as opposed to $1/2) seem to have plenty of money to gamble with and don't mind losing and when the do they just tend to reload
I ran into a friend I haven't seen in awhile and didn't play much the last night (when I was going to play $5/10), but there were several $5/10 players that sat down in the $2/5 game( while waiting for a $5/10 seat) and I was not that impressed with their play (still just a bunch a calling stations)
Overall the Bellagio and Aria staff were very good and the games ran smoothly and efficiently.
I did not have to wait more than 5 minutes for a seat at either place. The waitresses were a little better at Aria however.
The next time I visit will be in the fall and my plan is to try the Venetian and I will also plan to play $5/10 as long as there are bigger games running.
