One of the coaches on DC said in a video when one is in a situation where they think it's neutral EV, that they'd call due to gaining information. However, I somewhat disagree, as at least with me, I seem to think people are way more aggressive/looser than they actually are, so when I perceive a situation to be 0EV it's usually actually-EV, and I think this mentality is fairly common for a lot of grinders, so it's probably better to lean on the folding side for many. Opinions?

If you don't have a solid read of your opponents river range then it may just be a fold... but I think when the coach said neutral EV he is probably thinking just a rough guess like 5% either way or something probability wise in winning... which isn't a huge amount if you get it wrong and you're 5% under say you only had a 45% chance to win vs 55% but you thought it was neutral EV it was probably the right call anyway unless your opponent bet close to or over the pot on the river... because you will have correct pot odds to make the call. I haven't seen this video so I don't know the context. I would not worry too much about it and just try to put your opponents on ranges and if you think you're behind their range just fold.
