I have been thinking of moving some of my play to Cash games on merge.
What is the best game to make money? (assume starting with about $500 roll for cash)
Will that be the same game when US gets regulation?
I am thinking of having half of my play mtts (my main style of play), a quarter sngs, and the other quarter cash? I am doing that because I am limited of what is available late at night, I work evenings and play after work.
Are there any pitfalls in focusing on 3 types of poker?

If you're not residing in USA, don't play on Merge.
I've played and studied STT, 45/180 SnG(same strategy as MTT), HU SnG, 9/6-max cash games and I'll tell ya this, don't do it, seriously. I had problems recognising the subtle differences between the formats, and spewed in all my transitions, besides the HU SnG. Whilst you're initially studying it you won't know how much of a difference it is to have a M of 5 in a STT as it is in a MTT, you won't know the differences between limping behind with 22 in the cash game as it is in the MTT.
Focus on one game until you're solid, and than branch out.

My main grind pre-black friday was a mix of 8 game, 10 game, PLO and MTTs. I thought it was fine.
I would never play STTs though, that is just me.

STT are bit of a trap too I think, they quickly turn into a grind and teach habits that are detrimental to MTT and cash games in particular, but are probably the easiest format to learn without a whole lot of variance.

No one responded which cash game is most profitable, Horse, plo plo8 lim hol nl hol etc
I am a winning and experienced player and full expect to hit a wall if I play stt, but come on $10 are beatible.
Carbon has a limited schedule when I get off of work, so I need to play sngs or cash to get action.

The most profitable cash game is whichever one you have the biggest edge over the bad players. Realistically though you should just play whatever you find the most fun because if you think grinding razz is the most profitable game but you hate it, you probably won't get very far.

It's very hard to make a list of the top most profitable games. Depends on which game suits you. For sure the HU format of any game is more profitable but you'll have the problem of finding games.
In theory the games that are more complex are more profitable but you will need to do more to become good at the game.
