night time is usually great, after dinner and late night when they all get drunk. weekend nights are great or after a event, boxing match etc.

most 1/2 games are super easy, super loose, and super passive

have fun killin it

1/2 and 2/5 was really no different at all when i have been there (i played those during first 2 days when i arrived to get used to live play) - play as high as you feel comfortable because games are so soft
id even go so far to say that when you wanna play 1/2 do it wherever you feel mos comfortable because games are all soft; if you wanna select go for smaller ones that arent wll know for poker like ceasars or ballys or something to where there are just normal hotelguests etc

Games aren't going to vary much. Pretty much what you would expect, loose passive play with some random people gambling it up. Even on a Friday a Saturday, it's not like there are gonna be tables full of people going all in every hand.

I would just pick a room depending on what you're looking for. If you want a "Vegas Experience" go ahead and play the big rooms (Bellagio, Venetian, Aria). They're not crawling with good players at 1/2, 1/3. If you want to be comfortable and possibly not have to wait for 45min-1 hour play a smaller room.

I would check out allvegaspoker.com

I really struggled with the games in vegas. Ive never played live poker before and i ended 4 BI down. I didnt mind as i wasnt there to play poker and i enjoyed the experiance. I had a hard time adjusting to how mean people see the flop, like 4 people would limp in front of me im on the BTN i raise to 10bb with AKo, SB BB and all 3 limpers call. I adjusted to playing tighter but people noticed and i didnt get much action.
Also the whole time i was there i didnt hit a single draw as the pre flop raiser which i was frustrated with but then i realised i didnt really see many hands, probably less than 1k which is 1-2 hours online for me but was ages live.

Not sure if it was just chance, but I've found the softest games to be late night at Excalibur. Good luck!

The smaller rooms almost always have been softer for 1/2.

I think the most success I have had in the Vegas live games is the lonely 1/3 game at the Treasure Island... Never found any tough competition there and they are willing to gamble it up very weak...
