ok, apparantly I should be getting the message that a new version of the sodtware blah bla blah..., just havent got it yet

i know where your coming from Shuttle , the way im looking at it is any action is better than no action and any form of poker that stops people from game selecting and bumhunting the better its got to be for the guys that put the effort into their game in general, if i gotta adapt and learn a new game to get action then i have to i guess...probs easy for a HU player to say as i have had to become proficient at other games after the game selection epidemic took hold.

I think that anything that makes the bumhunting issue less bad is a good thing. The issue is that this format becomes a raketrap pretty badly where all the money goes to stars, and fast. If this wasn't the case so much I think it would be fine overall.

I was thinking the same. Rake is so high in micros you need to exploit well, how can you do that against constant unknowns? The only signs of poor play are betsizing so far which isn't much.

If you do get a read there is also no time to stop and take a note because you are instantly in a new hand. No time to even colour code players. I started after black Friday so not aware what that was like to play in Rush .

Others claim you can start to get good HUD stats eventually though I guess that's true if you play consistently. Must be great for the people who buy hand histories, and I assume they will have a bigger advantage than in regular play, which is worrying.

you can take notes separatley on stars through the lobby, as long as you remember the players name....ok some names are like 94905u3jtig...but a lot of the time you could memorise it quick enough or just write it down

RE taking notes: just sitout, click on the replayer and put the note in through that. you'll get less hands/hour but you'll be getting notes and reads.

also, i remember people colour coding players in rush based on how many tables they were playing, im not sure you can see with zoom on that though.

interesting thing for me about it being a rake trap is you could view it as indirectly good for the game. We should want Pokerstars to be a huge powerful company capable of legimitising internet poker.

Paying them rake is in a way like a tax on our winnings for a professional association to organise, promote and provide a playing field for us to enjoy our 'sport'. Like subs in Sunday league football.

And the bigger they get the more customers there will be.
