Well now that you have figured it out, congratulations, you are an expert, no need to look for more poker advice.

You should be able to preserve your hand histories through your poker gaming interface. These are supposed to be saved on your computer.

Find them, copy the whole text of the hand, click "Insert a Hand History" in your DC posting GUI, and copy/paste them.

I hear you. but they aren't saved anywhere. or at least anywhere I can find. So posting my hands is out of the question. I only have $40 left online anyway. the way things are going in the micros that will be gone tonight and i wont need any more advice anyway cuz I'll be broke lol

if you are playing K8o because you think it might get lucky, you are worse than I am at this game. I don't know much but I know that K8 is not very strong and there is a lot of hands that can and will beat it. Since you will get called down to the river no matter what, K8o isn't what I wanna be holding

If they really are calling down with no matter what then you should be pretty happy with K8o.

You sound really tilted in your posts so I think we're just feeding the flames here but there are gradations when learning any new skill that aren't evident at first to the extent that things can seem random. This is exacerbated in poker because good play isn't necessarily immediately rewarded. Just play for fun and if the money comes so be it. Just make thousands upon thousands of good decisions and take each one at a time.

All I can say is that there is no way I am as bad as my bankroll reflects. I know Im not great, I have plenty to learn about the game. But there is no way I am as bad as things look. I make mistakes yes, I make bad calls or raises. But I also play some hands very well and I never win with those either.

Poker is not a game that rewards skill consistently over the short term. Even if you play your best, sometimes you are an underdog, and sometimes you get coolered on the River, and sometimes you get shitty results over thousands, even dozens of thousands of hands.

How are you gonna blow 20BI at 2NL in one night? You're playing at 2NL, right?

In your Options there should be an option to save Hand Histories. Turn it on and note where they are saved.

when I play or do something I like to succeed, I dont do it just for fun. in poker you succeed by winning money. But I am not lucky enough to succeed in this specific game. There is absolutely zero skill in the micro games. its like old maid, you are just matching cards up but in this you throw chips around. so if you are lucky, you win. if not then you lose.

thats the attitude. If you lose all your money the fish cant beat you anymore! truly a revolution in poker thought!

I dont know about you, but even when I make good or even great decisions I never ever get rewarded for it. The only time I ever win a hand at all is if I flop a full house. and thats easy to play. but that doesn't happen very often. and even when it does, it doesn't win for me as often as it should.

with that strategy I win one hand every 3 or 4 hours...AT BEST so winning one hand a day really doesn't make it worth the hours of sitting there and folding. Especially when that one pot was only fifty cents. so fifty cents a day on average, I can have enough money to play a real live game in about 40 years. Theres gotta be a better way

Ok how are you going to beat a better higher stake live game if you can`t beat micros? Smile

johnontilt87, you should consider playing on the Merge Network. Preferably Carbon or RPM. It has a much larger player pool and you can use a HUD which will help a lot when trying to follow the advice in this thread. At Bovada you are basically playing blindfolded. There are a few states that aren't allowed on Merge but for the most part they do allow US players. There is a huge difference between Merge and Bovada, you won't regret making the switch.

exactly haha
I understand fish will win their share of pots. Im prepared to deal with that in the game. but I am losing an insane amount of times to BS cards. Fish will catch at times, but is it normal to have every single hand you play beaten?

At least players in a real game would actually analyze the situation before making a call or raise. instead of clicking all in on 7 straight hands in a row. It stands to reason that with more money at risk people wouldn't take the decisions lightly.

Sleep on it, man. I read your blog when you were starting out with high hopes and that was yesterday. If you were learning chess would you expect to win money from anyone willing to bet it at first? Yeah, poker is different because luck is involved but you need to be good enough to overcome that luck, that's what you need to do to beat the micros, not beat any individual.

well that would be cool except with bovada I cant withdrawl till I get $500. I will never reach $500, so that is my poker bankroll. I have no more bankroll to start at a new site. its either win here or nowhere. so it will be nowhere
