"Do yourself a favor and don't fall into the trap and illusion of those who do not know science and misinterpret these types of studies to fit their own misguided belief systems. The homosapian is a frugivore. Fruits are the gifts of the plant kingdom to man. Herbivores eat plants and are designed much differently than we are. (See my book: "The Detox Miracle Sourcebook.") Our clinics' clients have a 90% or better "cure rate" in those that have all types of cancer who go on our health programs. We use a lot of fruits in our health programs, especially grapes. Our cancer clients who used a high amount of grapes eliminated their cancers in as little as 45 days. Most in as little as 2 to 3 months."



god damnit. 5.5 years to get a phd and all I really needed to learn was to eat more grapes! Oh, the extra poker I could have played.

I advocate a low-carb diet, but not the elimination of carbs. I think fruits and starch sources (sweet potatoes, taro, white rice) are good choices of carbohydrates.

I must say when I eat more then 2 banana's in an hour I always fart for the rest of the day. Detoxing?

When you eat foods which are hard to digest (fruits are easiest to digest), such as dead animal flesh or beans, you start producing gas and in the end your farts and waste products smell like dead animal flesh that is rotting. It's kinda simple, eat foods like that and even your sweat smells.

Just throwing it out there, I know this isn't going to go down well!

But are we getting too scientific and maybe we should relax a little regarding our eating habits?

Ultimately we only live once, and we are going to die of something. So I suggest that when thinking of diets etc. Just have a diet that is fun, but also ensure your aren't putting on weight.

Is there a study linking happiness to eating?

Fruitarian argument, Type 2 Diabetes anyone?

I mean, obviously you can... You can even drink 100% alcohol if you wish to...

Oh your attitude towards me is disheartening, I wish you could act a bit more.... I know you are older than me so I will respect you so that you will feel more powerful and mighty. Please continue with that act.

Perhaps I should research a tad bit more before I post my naive questions, but how do you guys define high fat/low carb diet? In my mind, there's a huge difference between a simple carbohydrate and a complex one, a huge difference between white pasta and a broccoli. I eat somewhat of a vegan diet, so I've been exposed to all the biases of those channels, but it seems that having a diet that is predominately vegetables and somewhat raw is optimal for health.

And again, the biases, but I'm quite skeptical of anyone claiming a dairy product is a health food

Yes there is a difference between simple and complex. Fruit is complex carb so you can basically eat them as much as you want and not get fat, even 3000-4000kcal per day. Then there's complex carbs such as rice which is a starch and you will get fat from over-eating them.

I'm not sure if pasta is simple or complex but white pasta isn't good for you. Anything that has been processed really can't be good because when you remove the fiber, you will get high blood sugar level.

I have also witnessed that a diet based on mostly raw fruits and vegetables is the best, 2nd is starch based diet (Dr. McDougall). Both of these are vegan diets, but even if you eat animal products with it, you will be more healthy than most people. From what I've learned, there is a huge difference between milk and raw milk and hormone GMO meat vs meat from an animal who ate natural diet.

Thankfully, I've discovered whole grain pasta Grin

When I said raw I wasn't strictly referring to non-animal products; organic grass fed animals that have had little processing done(lightly cooked, excludes chicken) and with little mercury seem quite healthy(this excludes much seafood) Making pretty big statements on limited information, though. I've heard of a carcinogen that's in all meat products, but I'm quite wary about such claims, with all those vegetarians manipulating information to benefit their cause, seems a bit far fetched for organic meat, but idk

Raw milk hey? Never looked into that due to personal morals, but that would probably fix all my criticisms of dairy



Anyone know of a means of measuring the blood sugar insulin threshold thingo? atm I'm trying to gauge just how much sugary substances I can put on my morning muesli to not hit a sugar coma(make my own rice milk with brown sugar, and use honey/fruit) Seems like whenever I use honey I go over, but not sure if this is correct due to sample size/placebo

The idea of going to a wild cow to suck its tit is enough proof for me that milk is not for humans though, but some people like it.

I'm not sure if meat in itself has carcinogens, but when you fry oil/fat, it creates carcinogens hence frying food is not healthy. I don't know though, if frying meat without oil or something would turn the fat inside the meat into carcinogens, but frying with oils is definitely bad.

Is brown sugar good for you? I don't really know if it's something that occurs naturally, but white sugar aka white death is bad.

You should check out CintronBrandon on youtube, he seems to know about those things.

I don't think brown sugar is healthy, however it taste fairly good, haven't seen any evidence to remove this treat from my diet, yet
