Wow that was a great video and very refreshing too. Each time I hear about the awesome poker relationship you guys had when you started out I am so jealous! Where are my Krantz? Ansky?...

I mean I couldn't ask for anything more if I could find this kind of relationship with smart and ambitious full time poker players. I feel like it is very difficult to find especially when you are a micro stakes player like myself. I don't feel like a micro stakes player but the bottom line is: I am. I'm very ambitious and my game has improved so much but I'm still down there. I don't blame higher level players to ignore guys like me...the sad truth is I'd probably do the same in their spot.

All this to say if there are some of you out there who recognize themselves in what I have just written, contact me and we will start what could be the next group of poker prodigies.

Do you think that you should estimating your hand vs villain's range or your hand vs one particular hand in villain's range?

Also when you are doing these should you set yourself some kind of timer so you won't use 5 minutes figuring out your equity?

+2. I find the hardest thing for me is sticking to some kind of structure for learning. I'm always trying to watch 3 different video series, read 2 different books, work on my mental game, review hands, etc. So instead of really doing a good job of working at one thing at a time I'm doing a little of this and a little of that.

This is me, so true, a training series on how to train would have been invaluable to me. +1 to you going through these drills.

If I want to focus on one skill say 3 betting or isolating is there a simple way to search for relevant videos?

One question on the hand reading game. Fine you can take 10 random showdown hands and try to chisel a range street by street for villain but surely what we actually need to do is observe their play over a whole replayed session.

Then you have a more holistic understanding of a their play, of any game dynamics that influence their range and also you can develop solid reads and add them to your notes.

Otherwise everything is in isolation.

Surely building our hand reading skills in isolation comes first, once we have a grasp on that game dynamics can be added. I need to walk before I can run.

vs his range. you could set a timer but i would do that as a means of measuring your progress as you continue to drill yourself. see how much quicker you can do it as you do more and more. but i would not worry about using too much time -- the time it takes is the time it takes, you have to go at your own speed.

the point is to drill yourself in the process of hand reading, so you can apply that process in-game to any situation. observing an entire session is another skill entirely

Yeah I think an interesting idea would be for a video series would be having different coaches talk about their schedules as far as playing and practicing, kind of like the Blueprint series. Not sure if this would work though, but it could probably at least provide some ideas.

I think it would be awesome to do a video on live practicing at least with each one of the 3 first topics (A, B and C). It can get a little confusing at first, specially the B and C. Please, please do it...
