Another question that pops in my mind:
Let's say FTP gets back in service under the new GBT-ownership, would all agreements will affiliates (including DC Rakeback) be null and void and have to be renegociated?
also curious as to this.

I was wonder if someone made a thread with this but it contained no FTP news (troll) people would find it funny or annoying.

Me.
I might be too. I mean. I really liked FTP. The software was great. I miss my turtle.
I don't know.
Is it going to be trustworthy this time?
How is rakeback going to be arranged?

1)yes
2)it will be personally brought to your front door in cash by trained chimpanzees
Either or both of these answers may prove in hindsight to have been overly optimistic.
its ofcourse egoistic of me to think about rakeback at the new FTP while their are people I know and/or admire have money on their.
I just firmly believe that they will get it back. I also believe this will be the first steps of the next poker boom.
Sigh.... me to unless they through the baby out with the bathwater.
Yeah me too, I miss my old smoking italian woman!
But only if it doesnt get a regfest, the software isnt worth that much to me tbh,
i wonder how many fish will go: Ow yeah, new poker site, lets play there!
and I wonder how many regs will think: Ow year, FTP is back, godddd I missed my turtle or smoking italian woman...
kind of important for the bad player/reg ratio
Noone is currently in any position to say what the rakeback offer will be, how cashouts are going to work, whether or not they'll finally fix it so the avatars can have expressions in racetrack mode etc. What happens to contracts in a restructuring generally is that things are usually open to some renegotiation and sometimes things continue sometimes they don't, sometimes they continue with different terms etc. It all depends on who is owed money and whether or not they get it. Sometimes the restructuring gives either the new management team or the other party a chance to get out of contracts they don't like any more. It all depends on how the contracts are worded and how the actual takeover deal is structured (is it a buy-out, reverse, merger, receivership + asset sale, brand purchase etc there are lots of options and they all have different connotations).
On a serious note one thing that people should realise is that whenever a company is involved in a takeover or restructuring like this information about contracts etc is considered "material" and therefore it's almost certainly illegal for anyone who has this information to talk about it without the information being disclosed in general and the penalties for disclosure can be pretty severe. So if you read the press releases and official statements you know as much as anyone and any person (other than official spokespeople for the parties) claiming special knowledge of how things are going is almost by definition full of shit. Because if they actually knew and spoke about it they would be going to jail and/or getting a hefty fine.
no love for the sad-faced monkey???
as long as it isnt the surfer-douche or the ninja I kind of like all the full tilt avatars
