......
PartyPoker settled out of court with the DOJ back in the day for $300 million.

With everything that has happened recently, has anyone heard (podcasts, forums) about PartyPoker's chances of coming back into the US market (with regulated online poker)? Seems to me, that their chances just became equal with Pokerstars and Fulltilt.

Nice. Did I predict it or did I not? The PPA argument is saying, "We want to help the economy. Tax and regulate us."

The DOJ has like a 96% success rate for convictions with these indictments--I don't recall the actual number but it was discussed numerous times in the Poker Beat when that podcast still existed. I don't think they made their move here on a flimsy evidence.

I lose 90% "coinflips" all the time lol.

LOL Looks like Doyle's Room might have other side ventures. (just kidding).

I just received a promotional email titled, "It's time to get loaded".

Lately, it seems that I have received quite a few promotional emails from Doyle's Room.

Just don't get it?... Can someone explain how these sites are different with respect to payment processing in the U.S.? Under the UIGEA, don't they have the same restrictions as the "Big 3" in the U.S.?....

Yeah, the bug is spreading, but too bad that Congress is just going to break out the fly swatter and squash anything we throw at them. Online poker players account for only 2-3% of the US population. Trust me, they could care less about what we want. They are used to getting hate mail every time they make a decision. I'm sure there's more than 8 mill crazy conspiracy theorists out there that blow up their mailbox every time they decide to increase the price of stamps by a penny or two, etc. This is NOT going to get fixed any time soon. They will look for any possible way to increase their cash income before they legalize something like poker that has been given an unjustified negative stereotype. Also, the fact that they are willing to discuss cutting programs like Social Security and Medicare before legalizing something like poker should say something. Frown

Your kind of ignorance is so typical. The reason this country was made "free" was due to God wanting us to have free will. So if you want to blame "Christians" who can't read then by all means knock yourself out. If you want to blame real Christians, then your standing on quicksand. The liberals are the ones who want the Gov't to be our mommy and daddy. If the FDR system never took hold then how on earth could we have a gov't that is so large and powerful? History never stops being RE-written I am afraid. Christians have lost control of this country and thus it will fail soon. When Christians had more control people had more rights. Poker used to be accepted throughout the land during the 1800s and this country was still a Christian country then. Religion is men and God is God. Try and get those straight in your head. Men made Gov't and Religion and they are all screwed up. Man's systems will always fail. If someone wants to rant about me talking about this in here then please rant at the person who brought it up which was not me.

Republicans passed the UIGEA man

Moreover, "liberal" is a pretty general term. There's a big difference between fiscally liberal/conservative and socially liberal/conservative. People who are socially liberal want the government to stay out people's personal lives. People who are socially conservative want to impose their retarded morals on everyone and constrict individual liberty.

So if one third believe that the Bible is true word for word.. Then we are in a really tight spot.

What do we do?
