How do you get to the holdem manager reports folder to copy and past the files?

yeah that's probably an issue assuming we're not looking at a small sample. I would suspect you're making too many of those protection (not for value, not as bluff) bets on early streets. If your agg% on the flop is in the 50s, that's probably the case. aggression is obviously a good thing in general, but sometimes it hinders your ability to manipulate the pot effectively.

I'd also take a look at the river call efficiency to see if that's low.

If neither of these things are true, let me know and I'll think about some other possible reasons. 46% won at showdown is troubling.

Hi!^^

Do you maybe also have some suspicions regards to potential leaks/problems regards to following stats:

WWSF = 46,8
WTSD = 24,2
Won$atSD = 52,2

?

I was able to import the filters into my holdem manager, but I don't see where to import the reports? Anybody know how?

Great video, this series is going to be "must see" if this is representative.

fwiw, I have Leakbuster and have liked it, but haven't known exactly what to do with the knowledge that stat X is a leak for me. Screwing around with some of these filters for an hour after watching the vid has already told me more about things I need to work on than I've been able to discover through LB in quite some time, thank you.

Do the same thing for the reports that you did for the filters, except put them in the "reports" subdirectory?

I think we played together on FTP like 5 years ago. I had a Swedish coach at the time (MDMA) and I can still here his voice in my head from when we'd review hands. "Magister Luuuudi"

To answer your questions:
- Yes, this will be much different from App Attack as a whole. It will be similar in concept to the video where I reviewed Lucas' db. It will just be much more in-depth. I've been going through many peoples' databases trying to find people with different leaks so I can run all sorts of different filters throughout the videos. That App Attack video sort of glossed over this, whereas these videos will be a comprehensive look at breaking your game down by filtering. The stats are an attempt to sort of expedite that process by honing in on certain parts of one's game.

- I have two problems with LB: (1) is that they just throw tons of numbers and filters at you and it can be overwhelming. It's also tough to know where sample sizes are insufficient. (2) is that it's a computer program so it lacks any sort of common sense.

My goal for this series is basically for you to be your own LeakBuster by knowing what to look for and how to look for it, using your common sense and understanding of the filters. This video was basically just to get you started. For the rest of them, you'll be able to see how I go about looking at the db of specific players, and there will also be a lot of resulting NLHE strategy discussion.

As you can hopefully tell, I'm passionate about this, and I'm confident it'll be worth viewing even if you have LB. I've been doing this type of thing long before I knew about LB.

This is specifically what i want to see in a video series.

How to analyse specific players, what filters to use to get reads on specific parts of their games we should and can exploit ect.

Josh,

The filters are absolutely great, and as helpful as it is to have an mri of a leak, it sure is painful watching the action on the hand replayer.

If anyone is interested, I just posted a thread about possibly forming a FULL RING group designed around watching this series, busting leaks, and filling in the gaps specific for full ring, since this series focuses on 6max.

Anyway, if you're interested, check out my thread.

I would love a 25NL one! I have a 100k hand DB if you need it. Another question I have is with having 100K hands, when I do the call river c bet filter only 32 hands show up. Then I do the call river non c bet filter and only 262 hands show up. Are these numbers right? have I only really called a 3 barrel 32 times in 100k hands?

At what sample size do things like WWSF, WtSD. and W$SD start to become meaningful?

at 00:38:46 you mention
if turn c-bet > 55% or turn c-bet success is less than 42%

my flop c-bet is 67%, success 44% vs 1 opponent
my turn c-bet is 47,6%, and success vs 1 opponent only 37%
is that a leak and something i should look more into depth?
(otherwise I did not find any major problems with WWSF, WTSD or W@SD at least with stats)

I now spend time at least once a week filtering out potential leaks against the regulars in my games. Knowing how they think about poker in very specific spots, their motivations and tendencies will allow you to crush them. Not only that, the underlying thought process you gain from doing this over and over will allow you to make proper and more accurate adjustments against other people.

I've since moved up 2 levels in stake since Josh helped me with that last app attack video. I believe that was about 3 months ago.

This! I'm trying to learn more about how to use all that HEM has to offer and this seems like a great idea. Thanks for all the work you have put into this. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

If you're interested in the filters for river bluffs, you may also want to see the custom stats for HEM from this thread:

http://forums.holdemmanager.com/custom-reports/8183-about-bluffing.html

Note that these custom stats use different hand values filters than the filter for river bluff in this video, but if you want to get some kind of idea on the efficiency or net$ won of your river bluffs the stat is more useful then the filter by itself because it works like the river call net $ and river call eff. -- that is, it takes into account that the money in the pot prior to the river doesn't belong to you anymore.

I think it may be possible to modify those stats to use the same definition for a river bluff as Josh's filter if PH.HoleCardValue_ID (used in the filter) has the same value definitions as river.madehandvalue does in the stat definition, but I'm not sure and I haven't tried to figure it out yet.
