Another seven for the team!
Let´s skyrocket in the leaderboard - sth. we´re used to anyway!
Is that 14 total for you?!
We are ranked 7th in new members for the month!

Yep.
The team name was already changed from Deuces Cracked to Buy-in to Giving. I think we should try to not make this related to DC (though it's cool it started here, and maybe keep the headquarters here, like this thread being the only one where you can post your loans to get raffle tickets), but try to make it more general. Contact other training sites about this, ask their coaches if they'd be willing to participate in the raffle. Try to see if there's a way to get the word out on this on 2+2 without breaking their rules. And pocket5s or whatever other communities there are out there. Thoughts?

TSB and I have been discussing that, definitely the plan! Tecmo's done a lot of work behind the scenes in getting things prepared for a larger scale effort.
We wanted to start at DC because the community is amazing and we could generate some interest and base support, then branch out beyond that.
But definitely going to go as big as we can.
Yea, basically what Luke said. I've got big plans, but DC was the logical place to start. Start small, grow big imo.
Thanks for the inspiration to find a way to give to charity that I really can buy into I often don't give as I don't think enough gets through to those in need so love this
Put aside one buy-in for 200nl and done 8 loans, heck feels better than a badly timed spazz shove/call ![]()
seems like a great idea ![]()
Done. 10 loans @ $25
Awesome idea, group has already loaned $3.5k
Awesome job everyone! Spread the word imo!
New idea - as opposed to me trying to track every little loan and the amount, I'm just going to ask at the end of the month for people to email me with their total $ loaned. Then $/25 = # of raffle tickets you will receive. This will free up some of my time to focus on expanding this idea.
I just purchased the 2 domains, www.buyintogiving.org and www.bi2g.org , and am currently working on finding a really sweet logo ![]()
^ you got someone to do a logo?

I've contacted many people, but I haven't settled on one person yet. Just looking for the right logo at the right price (which is unfortunately small, I want to put most of my resources into the charity as opposed to ancillary efforts). If you know someone, forward this along ![]()

This is such a great idea Tecmo. I think that a lot of online poker players gonna join this fabulous idea. I am pretty sure that many players wanted to give some to charity but did not really know how to do it. The format provided by Kiva fits extremely well your bright idea. Be prepared because I got the feeling that this project gonna raise beyond your expectations and from our sweet community. If you do it right in terms of marketing and communication, this thing can be a huge success worldwide. Please do not forget to represent DC well when you will be interviewed because its gonna happen
If at any moment, I could help you to develop this project, feel free to PM me. I just completed 4 loans. Now my task is to spread the world and recruit more people to join this !
Awesome! Thanks 1BEYOND! (hehehe)

second domain link has an error tecmo - remove the %2c in the url
Spread the word to PokerSavvy Plus ...

I think that people who are reading this thread and are hesitating need to know how Kiva works exactly. This is where the concept is so unique imo. The picture at the bottom of this Internet page is really straightforward and meaningful. Welcome aboard shades.

Thanks. If you just type it in, it works fine. Apparently if you put a comma after the link it inserts that crazy %2c thing so I put a space and then the comma ![]()
Made some changes to the website. Lmk what you guys think.

You could maybe add your story on how this bright idea popped up. You could write your story or even record a video and upload it to make it more personal. Do you know a lot of stuff about developing a website or you just wanna keep it simple? Pretty sure you could find a volunteer within the community to help you with this skillful task.
I can do any web work you need.

That's not a bad idea. I'll see what I can whip up.
I know enough to do what I've done, but I don't know much about programming and stuff.
