Yup I really enjoyed this one. I don't play live a ton (maybe 2-3 times a month) but enough to relate to everything that was being said.

I'm sure WoT has enough info to cover 3-4 episodes on live poker play if needed. One concept I personally discovered is that although most live players are very loose passive preflop (partially due to boredom of wanting to see a flop) they tend to play very scared when facing big bets on the turn/river. This allows good opportunities to represent scare cards or overbet bluffs on later streets.

Also to expand on Wilt's point about players remember the table hand by hand, there have been many times when I played a pot and bluffed a guy (no showdown) and next hand I pick up AA/KK and maintain agression. Everyone at the table thinks that since I was aggressive the last hand "there's no way I could have it twice in a row" and they turn into calling stations or better yet try to play back at me.

There are tons and tons of examples that I'm sure we all have, and the ones used so far in the video were very instructional. I hope to see more.

The first time I heard was last nite on Poker After Dark, Annie Duke said it with a rye grin... I thought it was funny

When you said about two people showing the same hand, at our casino the usual thing is for one guy to say "Wow, nice hand" with a little wry smile in the corner of his mouth.

If it tilts the good players to hear the same old jokes again and again, wouldn't it be even more of a reason to tell them?

Even if you manage to tilt them, having them lose some of their ev to tilt doesnt actually equate to your game ev being increased in anyway, actually there prolly more likley to mess with you if you repeat these dumb jokes =-P...great series WoT

Oh the sunglasses thing.

I get a lot of info from where people look. This is the most valuable tell I've noticed from Mike Caros book (yes Im a dork I read it). If they stare at the flop when it comes out they are trying to figure out a way that it helps their hand. If they look at their chips quickly they are trying to figure out how to get them in the pot.

If you wear sunglasses its harder for me to tell where you are looking.

But yeah I dont wear them cause its stupid.

I really like this video. I was trying to think of a video to watch to take my mind off of a current live poker downswing and just hearing WoT rant about all the stupid things people do & say live really helps you get your confidence back. One of my favorite of this series

Wilt, lets suppose someone needs to wear a hoodie if they don't want to get recognized (i.e. you're a police officer or something). How do you respond if someone asks you why you're wearing a hoodie?

Also, since you're obviously not giving off a great image (since you look like a d-bag), would you make any adjustments to your play?

If you had to wear a hoodie for some reason you didn't want to share and someone was asking why, I'd probably say that I had a medical condition where I'd like to keep my head covered to avoid any unnecessary staring or questions.

I'd try to watch and see who is taking me more seriously than others. I'm not sure I explicitly said it, but promoting that image of someone who is serious about poker and concentrating very hard on every hand is going to make the other people concentrate and play better against you. It's kind of like in sports where underdogs often rise to the occasion and play their best. That's not the type of image I would want to promote, but if I was to promote it I'd first try to recognize who is playing differently against me compared to others and then try to adjust from there... so if you can get a sense that they are assuming you are quiet and therefore tight/solid, then you can open your game up more. If you get the sense that they view you as tough internet player then you might want to tone it down since the image of internet players is one that is over aggressive (compared to most live players).
