Thanks for making this video. I actually wrote these down to refer to when I am done playing poker for the day.

How does one go about finding the professional pursuits/business opportunities that you mention in the video?

Well, there's no one way to do it, you just have to keep your eyes open and think like a businessman. For instance, last night I went to a new place in SF called "House of Air" that is a big warehouse full of trampolines in various arenas. We played trampoline dodgeball with whoever else was there (mostly high schoolers) and it was awesome! So naturally I started wondering about the business elements behind the place, on the off chance that someday I'd start up a trampoline place myself:
1) How much are they spending on rent/insurance/payroll?
2) How much revenue are they bringing in?
3) Is it a feasible long-term investment? Will it only become more popular with time, or will the novelty wear off?
4) If you own the place, are you still allowed to throw dodgeballs at high school kids?

Obviously its unlikely that I'll ever end up going into the trampoline business, but the point is to keep your mind open to this sort of line of thought. Find something you enjoy doing or a service that people want and try and figure out how to make money with it!

I was a little worried that the first couple episodes of this series would be great, but then they would start sounding the same. This couldn't be further from the truth and I am very impressed with every coach's effort/advice so far.

Internet news are terrible if you read them for the purpose of broadening your horizon and variety. At least I have the tendency to hand pick what I already know about look at specific headlines.

When you read printed papers that you trust like The Economist you accept what they provide you with and read them from cover to cover you will read things that on the internet you would completely ignore.

I am not too sure if she'd be happy if I get another one to 'keep her company' though.

True, the Economist is awesome. I also read the Atlantic and would recommend it, if you don't quite have an Economist-level attention span but still want to learn new things about a wide range of important topics.

Really enjoying this series, and this episode is no different.

I have a slight contention with, not being able to have poker as a true passion. Im sure most of the best players in the world either are very passionate about poker or atleast were for a decent length of time. Most ive heard from say they dont enjoy it so much these days sort of thing. However a few sound genuinely still passionate and I admire them for it. the full tilt pro Ben Roberts and improva come to mind. I hope theres an Improva blueprint, that would be real interesting.

Very original cat aquiring advice, I take it you havent ever gotten on raging tilt and had the urge to throw one of them across the room?
