That is of course pretty pity for you, but maybe they will reevaluate their decision when ppl will continue to show interest or they will give you a chance to produce at first some vids.
But I would have one further question to you, that just have come into my mind:
You had during only 1 year several different coaches?
Why so?
I mean, at least for me:
I think it is much much better to choose from the beginning a very very good one which you respect much (maybe due to his reputation + past vids from him + his results + his "written down" thoughts in forums, etc.) and work with him then on a regularly basis longterm , together and just stay loyal.
I think this is the only way he can become with the time a real mentor for you and hence will be able to help you most effectively, just b/c he will not only know your game very good but also will be able to control your development and so on.
What you personally think about this?
The most important thing is money. It's not practical to hire some coach for $400/hr when you're playing 25NL. Most coaches charge based on the stakes they coach/play so it's only nature to switch coaches when you move up in stakes. Also scheduling sessions and coach's availability may change over the course of your poker career as well.

Congrats again Blah, really looking forward to coaching with you. How often did you get coaching? Once a week, once every two weeks? How much interaction did you have with your instructors outside of sessions?
Also, not sure what "inexperience" with making videos even means. Is it just that they want you to prove yourself over a given hand sample, or they actually what you to change some mechanics about making videos (not articulate enough, etc.), just seems weird to me, a lot of instructors get chosen on video sites and their first comment is often "this is my first video" etc. Guess that may not be the case here, but if the reason is the latter and not the former, I don't imagine it would take you too long to fix those mechanics.

Update on the coaching situation since many have asked. DC rejected my coaching application due to my inexperience with making videos. That's completely understandable since I've never made any training videos in my life and that's something I will work on in the coming year.
Thanks again to everyone for your support. This does not mean I'm giving up on becoming a coach though.
I am pretty sure that the DC team is watching this thread so I am gonna take this opportunity to share my thoughts on the topic. I am sincerely upset to read this decision and make me jump from my chair as an active member of the community. I dont really understand the DC decision TBH and I am going to tell you why guys.
1. When I go through the different steps of the DC recruitment process, I think you are fulfilling all of them. You are indeed active in the forum by posting and reviewing hands, you did some reviews of DC members (not much but still), you have been trained and recommended by some highly reputable players in the poker community who do support you (Phoinix, Tubasteve, Improva, Balugawhale with their repetation on the line) and you are definitely a cool dude in the forum/outside (I have never ever seen him out of line at anytime).
2. AFAIK OP is the 2nd (serious) member who applied for being a coach at DC and get rejected within the last 6 months. JRuVIC also posted a similar thread like yours. As a DC member, I am really disappointed to see that Nan is the 2nd serious candidates who applied to become a coach and denied. Both JRuVIC and blah234 are two guys with the label "made in DC" who started from the bottom and went to the top. As you can read ITT, there is a huge interest asked by the DC members/subscribers and they want to be heard. We want to see more people like Nan in our DC videos because they are both exceptional examples. I of course always like to see new coaches joining the DC community but sometimes I would prefer to see people like JRuVIC and blah234 brewed and homemade here rather than "dropped" coaches (I sincerely do respect all the new coaches and I hope you got my main point regarding community aspect) that we never heard of before. I am just trying to say that the member expect more of that now and you need to take that into serious consideration.
3. Regarding your supposed lack of experience for making videos, they are a ton of coaches here at DC who were in similar cases like yours and learnt pretty quickly. This is a fact. You can give him a chance and you know it. According to this video review of a DC member (tx to give back to the community for free), Nan shows some great solid abilities imho. Btw, Nan could be a co-host for a vid series to give him some time before to let him do his own one.
I hope my reasons make sense and my post will be taken seriously. I always thought that the DC team is closed to the member expectations so please reconsider your decisions about those applications.

Very good post 1byone, I was also thinking that it was a weird argument that he hadn't made alot of videos, and I don't mean to be disrespectfull to the new coaches (SiQ, kpr, slowlane and so on) but they haven't made vids either (or maybe i'm just a huge monkey and missed them)
Nan did a really good job at reviewing CDA's member video. And like 1byone, I also think it would be really cool to se that one of "ours" made it, I think it would be a great inspiration to all of us, especially us that are stucked at the micros.

1BYONE, I agree with what you're saying, but DC said his application was rejected because he hadn't had much experience in making videos. While I think Nan would be an excellent addition to the DC team, I'd MUCH rather he went away, worked on his video presentation skills and then came back, got signed and made an awesome, blow-you-away type first video (series) than have DC sign him and make him start churning out videos which may or may not be that good to begin with.

I don't even see how coaching people and producing videos are even related, there's a significant difference between dubbing over a session and dealing with a student. Eh, just buy an advert on 2p2 and try there Nan, getting some experience outside of DC is probably a worthwhile endeavor.
A shame really.

PM Krantz, Whitelime, BalugaW or any other DC coaches and asked them how was there their first experience for making videos. I guess the answer. They all reckoned that they did not have much experienced and it wasnt easy. They all say it in their own vid series.
Like many things in life, you learn to get better by actually doing it. If its a big issue, Nan can still be invited in a vid series for co-hosting and see what happens from here. Btw its gonna be easier and quicker to learn for people who are hard worker like Nan. Give him a chance, you wont be disappointed.
PS: I am glad to see that I am not the only one who is kinda surprised of whats happening here

The video where he commented on CDA's play was really good also. It wasn't even him playing, the video was 4 tables and he was able to talk through each hand in a very clear way. I really enjoyed that video and I think we could learn a lot from him if he was allowed to do at least one video series to try it out.

thelynchmob1, you definitely need to listen to the different vid reviews he did and see how Nan feel comfortable, confident and energetic voice, explanation/thoughts process are explained very clearly and you can see he really enjoyed it. And TBH after 5min, you sense straight away if the dude knows what he is talking about or if he is hesitating which was not the case. I really doubt that a vid series made by him would be a disappointment or a disaster.

I think blah should be given a shot, at least to guest in a lot of videos with current DC producers. How else can he get better at making videos if he doesnt get a chance to even make any?!
How about blah and a DC coach make a series together

Yeah I really like what I've seen of this video, I broke off watching half way through to grind some sessions, bue he's said some really interesting things that I want to think about some more to fully grasp the consequences in situations.
