after a year of eating breathing sleeping poker, i took a break beginning of this summer and have hardly played since. bought a car and filled my apartment with new stuff with part of my bankroll (well borrowed from my bankroll) and have been enjoying life. after seeing this thread, i feel like the fire is coming back. i already congratulated you once itt, but coming from someone who also plays with a full time job, this is truly awesome. it's def not easy to do and keep from getting burnt out. congrats again man and thanks for the inspiration.

When I first talked to Nan he was playing 50nl 6max shoving everything. lol Just shove he would say and every time I would shove I would be like thats something Nan would do. haha Well when I first figured out he was playing 1knl and offering free coaching to gain some experience and, I was right on it. At first I was a little hesitant because, I just thought he shoved a lot. haha When I started listening to his thought process he has for the game, and the game as a whole not just individual hands is where I realized thats how he makes his money. Some of the things he coaches will turn a good player in to an expert one imo. People like him shouldn't be coaching it makes the games much harder. Poke Tongue Thanks Nan and I will continue my coaching sessions with no doubt.

I feel bad that everyone is drilling you for questions, but I would appreciate if you could answer this one.

I have spent the day looking at rakeback deals, I live in the UK so can play on any site. The sites with the most rakeback are the ones with almost no action at the micro stakes, I couldn't even 4 table at one site. Could you point me in the right direction of a good site and rakeback deal?

I want to get my head down and really start grinding but finding the best site and rakeback deal really helps boost the bankroll especially in micros.

play 2 or 3 different euro sites, you get 50% on all three, then find the fishiest games on each..

Also Nan, I'm interested in your coaching, would you be able to look through my hem db and see consistent leaks/thought process problems? or do you have an informal chat and get a gage of how someone is thinking about the game? I guess I am asking, whats your method of coaching? Oh and prices please Smile

Absolute poker or Ultimate bet. Good volume of players, there is about 14 tables at peak uk times and there are a lot of fish. Rakeback is 30% and these 2 sites have the best bonus's around that release every 5 dollars which is cool. Also you can convert points to cash when you get enough. So you can win money from your winrate, from your ultimate or absolute points, from your bonus and from your rake back.

How many NL50 hands will it take me to clear the full $1k UB bonus? I play around 3k a day.

Very inspirational to see someone get this far after just one year :], congrats

one question, how much should we be concern about table selecting ? if at most of the tables there are 4 regs (some weaker, some better) should we play at such a table ? or should we do our best to find a table with at lest one fish at it ? not sure if u played at ongame, but it seems its full of regs (not saying all are good) and im not sure if its waste of time to try hard to find as many fishy tabels as possible if at higher stakes such tables wont be available most of the time.

Multiply your hands per session by your vpip so for example 3,000 x 0.22 (22% vpip) thats 660 raked hands a day.
Now, you need 20 status points for 1 bonus dollar. On the UB website it explain for every 3 rake hands, 1 status point is earned. Thats 60 raked hands per bonus dollar.
You will be earning around 11 bonus dollars a session so by the end of the 60 days you have to crush the bonus you will have earned 660 dollars.

So do the math over again with your vpip Smile. Also if you add the 30% rakeback into the equation its a very good offer.

I'm a nit Poke Tongue

edit: so the money doesn't matter? I would also get $660 playing NL2? It doesn't make sense that for every 3 rake hands you just earn a point, without consideration of how much you actually contributed.

No, at 50NL you recieve a point for every 3 raked hands, at 100NL you get a point for every 2 raked hands and at 25NL you get a point for every 5 or 7 i dont remember. There is a table on UB that shows you for all the diferent limits
