I have just noticed this thread by an accident on the right side at the DC homepage. When I saw this absolutely awesome graph, I decided to read the whole topic, from the beginning till the end. I did it and it was worth it.

@Blah234, your motivation is incredible, you played by average ~~ 1100 hands per day throughout the whole year, while having a work - for me, this result is outstanding. I tried to set a goal to play 30k hands this month, but then I heard about 2 upcoming tests, they will take 4 or 5 days out of my grinding calendar. Just more motivation to play more hands and finally I may see some results.

Everyone said it before and I will say it too, because you really deserve it: congratulations!

My little ask to you: if it is not a problem, I would like to see your graph is USD with Non SD Redline.

Enjoy your winnings dude, buy yourself a nice car (if you don't have a one, I hope it will be a beamer Wink ), buy some new stuff for your house and what is the most important - make your dreams come true, if you haven't already done this.

Take care !

When you will decide to answer my question, please also mention how old are you !

My redline is negative going down all the way and slightly positive after 1000NL probably due to aggro preflop game and jamming pp over squeezes.

I bought an A5 sorry not a bimmer. I'm 29 years old.

@1byone, I'm not on the recruitment team, but I think I can at least say your enthusiasm is appreciated.

I have enthusiastic answer because I do love this community and want to see people made in DC having a chance. They totally deserved it.

Also, you keep mentioning that DC has recently recruited many coaches. This argument isn't really relevant because those individuals were hired to fill specific voids. Many of them are tournament coaches for example, and DC is actively trying to improve/increase the tournament content.

They did recruit more or less 10 coaches within a short length of time. Thinking of recruiting someone brewed from the DC community can also be considered to fill a or specific need/void. There are also many coaches who have not been inactive for a while.

The higher ups at DC know what they are doing and I'm sure they are very eager to get people who have come up through the ranks at DC onto the coaching roster. They have given nan advice and I'm sure if he follows it and works on his video making skills he will be a coach before long. No need to take it so personally (except for maybe nan himself Poke Tongue ) in my opinion.

I know that DC is doing an outstanding work and I totally respect it. Their content is the best on the Internet. Please do not try to preach me because I am already a DC concerted. I dont see why I should take this personally tbh I am just giving my opinions with arguments.

1BYONE I think you need to relax, DeucesCracked is a business and has hiring practices just like any other business, they listen to what their customers/members want and are very good at delivering on their promises.

I am cool. I just tried to show my disappointment and hope my points will be taken into considerations. I think its fine to complain as long as its justified and thats what I did. Thats all.

This thread was made 5 days ago, they aren't going to just snap hire someone as a coach because a thread with a graph was created. Have some patience and give it some time, I'm sure Nan will have no trouble proving himself.

Just because he isn't listed here as a coach yet doesn't mean he won't help you, he is already doing free video reviews, and trial theory/Q&A videos.

Well if they dont wanna sponsor him for lack of experience making vids, they can for instance invite/propose Nan to do a vid series with a DC coach.

Thx for the reply. A5 is still an awesome car, Audi is my second favourite car brand after BMW. I don't know where are you from, I can guess that you are from USA, so then it is probably something like 3.0 T quattro, but for sure not 2.0 TDI Poke Tongue

I'm late seeing this thread but I've seen you around the forums for a while now. You're always helpful.

Congrats on all your success you've worked your ass off for it. Really glad to see you doing well.

I'm not sure if you understand how your comments come across to everyone else. They are very demanding and it does sound like you are taking it personally. You say you are cool, but there are better ways to express your disappointment. That being said - I'm sure DC loves to have people as passionate as you in the community. Too passionate > too apathetic imo. Just take it easy, express your thoughts, and all will be good in the world Heart

And look at it this way, if their standards really are so high, it'll be that much greater when "one of our own" makes it Smile

Until the time is right, he needs to sharpen his skills as a poker player and as a video maker to shape his thought processes verbally

Thanks for your post WoT. I really appreciate it. I am asking answer because I am trying to understand certain things.

You did reject him because of his lack of experience in making videos. How about the guys like Krantz, Whitelime, BalugaWhale or even you regarding your first few episodes as a video maker? You all started from scratch and you made + adjust it pretty quickly. Why not Nan could not do the same?

I realize this question isn't directed at me, but I think part of the answer is that standards increase over time with anything. This is a good thing. If Baluga was an unknown who just put in an application and showed a pretty graph, they would ask the same of him.

My question to you is - why the urgency? Why not let him improve and then add him? I guess I just don't see why it's such a big deal to allow him the time to improve and then bring him on.

I know what you mean and I agree with you Tecmo. I might have crossed the line a bit too much but again its because I do love this community and wanna see certain things "moving" in it. I am pretty sure that my message has been heard Smile My French revolution genes probably...

Honestly, I think it shows integrity for the site and earned some more respect from me that dc doesn't snap hire coaches based on a good year thread. Remember just because someone can play good doesn't mean they automatically make a good coach.

There is obv no urgency. As WoT mentioned in his post, its part of the DC strategy to look for a certain type of character. Fair enough but sometimes you can miss out great opportunities by rejecting other characters that do not fit the DC standards but do have all the ingredients to become a successful coach.

one question?
Do you prefer to work with individual ppl 1 to 1 and becoming a private coach?
Or do you rly necessarily want to produce also public content?

For the former one, you don`t need DC.

1byone: I haven't watched nan's vid, but there are a shitload of good poker players out there. IMO just posting a graph shouldn't be enough to get instantly hired as a coach, you need something more. There are a TON of videos across the various training sites that are in my opinion extremely mediocre to just downright bad. Not saying nan's videos would fall into this category, but just saying there's quite a bit of crap out there.

You also mentioned something about confidence and no hesitation in his member review video. Again just my opinion, but a lot of my favorite video producers very very often admit they're not sure on a certain decision, but try to explain why x could be good, why y could be good, and why z might be better then all of them. Phil Galfond comes to might. I guess my point is just having blind confidence isn't the greatest.
