when it's ready to be seen :-)
it's too early to tell right now, but i'd say we're like 2% to be out before the end of 2011.
we'll put some cool stuff out in 2011 though, let people know more about the story as we go
kinda in the same realm of robusto and boom, have you heard anything about the show trying to be made called "Whales" on showtime? same creator from weeds

i heard they are only writing the pilot and that it probably wouldn't get greenlit... a lot of people in hollywood like poker though so who knows.
i like weeds, gave it up after season 3 but came back for the last 2 seasons and they are pretty good

i would say it's the archetypal story of a hero's journey

Thanks for the link - funny I rewatched Empire yesterday and you released this vid the next day.
MP3 format PLS!
Krantz, thanks for making this series happen.
I would also like for the future guys/gals to really emphasize what they would do differently if starting from scratch today (now that they know what they didn't know before). Math, coaching, volume vs study, stakes, whatever. I guess prioritizing for a fast ramp-up.
I really liked what you said. The big thing I may have taken from this episode was your Stars Wars comparison. Poker is a story. What is each character trying to say/do? This may help me with my memory too (look for the story, not just the tells). ![]()
Star Wars was the first movie I can actually remember from my childhood. We went to see it at a drive in when I think I would have been 4??ish.
Never quite got my head around OB1 suicide...

+1
some good info here. More so the second half of the video, however it is good to see you relate a lot of your ideas to things that you like. Not so good for people who haven't seen star wars... ya i know who hasn't seen star wars? ![]()

I thought I was the only person in the universe never to have seen star wars.

wow how in the world have you guys not seen one of the most famous and successful movie series of all time! watch it guys! but go 4-6 then do 1-3 so you can go in the order the rest of the world experienced it!
Can we get mp3 versions of future episodes?
Really enjoyed this ep. I too am interested to see how each producer handles this series. I think all will have their own unique advantages. The biggest thing I took away from this ep was the importance of volume, an area where I struggle due to having a career. I often try to avoid playing while tired or have other things on my mind, but I have so little time to grind. Because 10k hands/month is my goal when grinding, I really have to ponder my true poker goals. Either way, I enjoyed hearing the various stories!
