Random Fact: When I was in undergrad I worked for a Dem Congressman on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. I happened to be alone in the office for a couple of minutes while people got lunch/went to the bathroom/whatever. A woman came in and screamed, "BABY KILLER!" over and over again in my face. I let her because I didn't know what to do and didn't remember the number for security. After at least 1 full minute of screaming herself hoarse at me, she said smugly, "What do you have to say for yourself?" Now, with a piercing headache, I could only think to say, "Um... I'm adopted?" not that it's really a response (but what is? "No, I'm not a baby killer"?). She looked shocked, looked at my face (I'm Korean), looked at my ID tag (I have a very very Italian full name) got really red and ran away.

huh?
He wants you to post a link where he can check out your aforementioned Jeopardy success. He just chose to ask in forum lingo haha.
link ldo = link like duh obviously
A bit ironic I must say - asking about such an intelligent show in such an unintelligent manner haha. (no offense liquid, I realize it's what we do around here
)
I watch Jeopardy every night and would love to hear your story Cloudcap!

it was april of 2000. i didn't win much money (and this was before they upped the money amounts), but it was always my dream to be a five day champ on the show. unfortunately i fell short, getting crushed by a guy who was just too fast on the button in my third game. you may or may not know that the game is very heavy on reaction time, as they don't let you buzz in until they light up a little light and then often all three people will know the answer.
i kinda' didn't want to put my full name on here but oh well.
http://www.j-archive.com/showseason.php?season=16
i was in games 3611-3613.
i had a college bowl teammate pass the tryout test with me...he's at least twice as knowledgeable as i am and would have dominated, but was too dorky for TV (even compared to jeopardy contestants) so they never put him on.

Yea, I knew quick reaction time was a HUGE part of Jeopardy. People often think knowing the answers is the hardest part. I know that if I'm consistently getting a lot of answers right that people like you and others likely know more than me, thus making the game about timing and a little bit a luck. It seems that given time, most contestants could probably answer most of the questions. It's more about being quick w/ the mind AND the buzzer.
Congrats man. That sick. I would love to go on there.
