Hi, this is my problem!
I enjoy both games and am a break even cash player at 0.05/0.1 in both games, but I really want to push on and learn how to crush these games and hopefully be rolled for 1$/2$ online. My problem is I can't play both, I need to focus on one game. I also enjoy playing MTTs but $2.50 180 mans are far too reggy for my liking and I'm not a fan of huge variance!
There are also some juicy games that run at my local casino (DuskTillDawn Nottingham) like the standard of 0.5/1£ is appalling as is the standard of the 2/2£ PLO. I'm obviously underrolled so rarely go there atm.
So yeah, merits of both games? I'm obviously looking to play as high as I can online as i've got the time all summer to learn a game.
Cheers

Pick the game you like the most and stick with it. That's about all there is to it. If you like all 3 equally I'd say PLO, but you say you don't like variance and PLO is the king of variance. So I go back to my first point - just pick one game and go!

Thanks, I'm leaning towards PLO I think, because I quite enjoy learning it, and the maths is quite enjoyable, but at the same time NLH live is enjoyable and something I'm looking to play! Oh I'm so indecisive! Haha.
I will be playing at .05/ 0.1 to start with, is PLO even beatable at these stakes due to rake?

I think as a hold 'em player, PLO is your best bet. It's just going to be so good for your overall game. Sticking to one game can get so monotonous. If you like live nlhe, you can still play if you ever need a few sessions off from PLO online. Live nlhe is fun and can be pretty profitable for micro online guys. It works well for me as a reminder of my progression as a player.
