Lock + Cake = Revolution Poker as of June 1st from what I've read.

It's already switched over. I downloaded the new software/MAC client and loaded everything up. Not sure if I'm going to load any money on there or not or just keep playing on the Merge skin I signed up for. I just wanted to see what the software looked like.

Lock is up and running. Tomorrow Carbon will supposedly make a significant upgrade to its software and reinstate rakeback. I think that maybe Lock's new site might put some life back into US poker. The competition has made it a bit more of a player's market.

The new Lock software is TERRIBLE.thats just the first bit of my unhappiness.Now my HEM2 doesnt recognize it and my MERGE KEYS table ninja like software doesnt work either.FML.nor does my MERGE MODS which let me use Full Tilt sounds and backgrounds.Anyone still on CARBON or another merge SKIN should definately download both of those programs and give the $10 suggested donation.GREAT PROGS. LOCK SUCKS NOW BTW

I'm switching to Carbon ASAP. The software is horrible and with Carbon getting RB again, IMO there's no reason not to.

Merge has the software, for now (Revolution is rolling out new software in a few weeks). but Revolution has the fast cashiers. When is Merge going to roll that out?

anyway, competition is good. we all win.

wait merge mods? nice link? btw any idea if they will make auto rebuy and auto top off for rebuys its tilting they ndont have that

I've had some bad experiences with cake in the past, and they have had their share of scandals. Joining with Lock doesn't seem that it will be much better if this thread is any indication -

One thing that maybe I should clarify is that both the software update and the rakeback changes are happening throughout the Merge Network not just Carbon. I said Carbon in my post because that is the skin I play at so it was the first name that came to mind.

Also they intend to add autorebuys in a later update.

Software for Lock is pretty horrible from my first impressions. They got rid of 2/3 and 3/4 pot bet buttons, I can't see a way to get rid of the chat box which is huge, they got rid of mini mode and their current "basic" background is like a weird hybrid of mini mode with weird stuff I don't want to have to look at.

Maybe I'm not used to it but it is very very clunky.
