So I'll be in Vegas this week, and I was wondering what you guys thought about some of the better rooms?
My normal game is 1/3 100bb capped. Aria has that exact game, I might give 2/5 a try out there though.
From what I can gather both the Aria, and Bellagio rooms are pretty decent. I'm also staying a block away so that also helps!
Besides the poker stuff, where are some must see places while I'm out there?
Some awesome spots to eat?

Just got back from Vegas and I played at the Bellagio. I played $2/5 on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night and was amazed at how easy the game was.
My normal game is an uncapped $2/5 game.
I did not play $5/10 but several players at my tables were $5/10 players waiting for a seat and I was not impressed with any of them.
Most of the players were Loose/passives, with an occasional Maniac. The regulars were just playing ABC type poker, but even the regulars limped into a lot of pots.
The $2/5 game at Aria has a $1000 max buy in so it may play a little tougher, but I am not sure about this.
Seafood restaurant at Aria is awesome but very expensive.
Steaks (cowboy ribeye) at Gallagher's (NewYork, New York) very good.
Good luck and have fun.

Well the 1/3 game at aria last night was definitely soft! I was a little worried when I first sat down because there weren't a ton of huge pots, the table "seemed" tight.
But I only had to show down 1 hand, and after that I was picking up almost every pot I was involved in. I saw a lot of the same mistakes a ton of people make at my home casino ( like people afraid to bet for value on the river).
All in all it was a good night, made 100bb.

I'd say make sure you use a travel agent. All those do it yourself sites are actually a little more expensive then getting a package.
Also if you don't mind renting a car/taking a bus or cab, from everything I've heard all the old downtown places are dirt cheap.
Like yakes said Gallagher's was freaking fantastic!
I saw Penn and Teller last night, and I thought that was an amazing show too!

If you'd like to get a cheap spot to sleep go for excalibur or any of the casinos near the Stratosphere tower like circus circus, I personally really liked the PH where they sometimes offer great value for their rooms by giving away tonnes of extras like credits, free buffets etc so shop around.
I really liked "Love" by cirque du soleil, a show with music from the beatles. Further definatly try out the poker pits and if you got the time dive into the grand canyon to escape the craziness of Vegas for a day (or if you're on a time budget go to Red Rock Canyon).
Further all I can say is party hard and play poker to fund your trip (don't do it drunk though)
