To the DC crew, sorry guys, but I think 2p2 is down. As long as we only do one thread it shouldn\'t be that bad.
Wait, are you apologizing because you thought of 2p2 first? This is Deuces bro!
Am I being a huge scrooge here by not tipping very often?
Without knowing how/when you tip, this is tough to answer.
This is how I tip:
Every pot I win, I put a $1 on top of my cards, regardless of the pot size.
EXCEPT:
1. When I steal the blinds.
2. When I get HU w/the BB and the hand goes ch/bet/fold.
I also tip the floor on the way out at times.
If you are going to be a regular at one place, it pays to tip. The dealers talk about who tips, the floor does too. They work hard for their wage and if you are winning player, it doesnt take much to help out. You will see benefits to the point of them going out of their way to make sure you are accommodated. I get into games faster, get my choice of seats quicker and general respect within my \"work\" place.
Would the house generally throw in a bonus on tips made via placed bets for the dealer at roulette tables, or do they just keep their vig?
If its a tip, it likely goes into a tip-box.
I\'m also curious as to how tips at poker games compare to tips at table games (who makes more tips)?
I would think tips at the poker tables add up to more than the table games.

Dave, what is 33280/a and 44720/a? Is that some weird Canadian metric system or something?

At the B&M where I play, dealer make 15-17/hr (33280/a), and there are 11 players per table. They get a share of tips from the entire casino floor, though I\'m not sure about how they deal with wait staff tips, it might just be gaming tips.
I figure that if everyone tips 0.5/hr that pushes their wage up to like 44720/a, and that\'s pretty reasonable compensation, considering that they don\'t take on huge variance every day for it. Am I being a huge scrooge here by not tipping very often?
Also, I just noticed that you can place a tip bet for dealers on american roulette and it amounts to the house raking 8% of the tips!!!! Bastards. Anyways, just throwing that out there. Would the house generally throw in a bonus on tips made via placed bets for the dealer at roulette tables, or do they just keep their vig?
