Hey, sorry when I reread this I realized that it wasn't very clear. I was talking about PMs. My thought was, when you go to "My DC" the forum threads you've posted in and the recommended videos make for some really useful, quick, access to a large portion of the site's content. I fell like having access to new messages on this pages would be really nice too. In the last week I've gotten a few PMs and while I can read them in my email, to respond requires me to navigate a few times to get to the message. If I could simply go to "My DC" and below the recommended videos there was a grid containing my unread messages, one per line, showing who sent it and the subject, or first sentence, with each line clickable, sending the user into the message, I think this would make the PM system more robust and accessible for everyone.

We had this for a while on the dashboard, but it made it very easy for it to become too cluttered. I've passed some of the feedback from this thread on to our designer and he and I are going to keep an eye on it to see what ideas pop up for helping people view all threads more easily. FWIW, for one-click access to PMs, you can click the message directly from your inbox and go directly to the PM as well.

We received a lot of feedback from the old homepage and had to change it for a few reasons, but like everything else on DC, we'll be both listening to your feedback and monitoring metrics on the site to see what things people are/aren't using and what could be more useful.

I love the "video queue" idea. I have made my own list on evernote.com of all the videos I plan to watch, and if I'm in the middle of some, what minute/second mark I am currently at in those videos. It would be nice to be able to drag and drop videos into a personal queue. This would become even more useful once Mount Robusto gets going and we have paths set up so people can add a single path to their queue and the corresponding videos would be laid out very easily for them.

I realize all of that is much harder to implement that most people realize, but I just thought I'd throw it out there.

Just stop the video and create a time-stamp note.

I also liked seeing the recent thread topics on the front page. It is how I have noticed some important threads that were posted in forums that I normally don't check often.

+1 This part along with the link with the latest podcast topic was my favorite part of the homepage. The Gift cert/rakeback stuff really just seems unnecessary to me and having the latest videos there instead of all that would be a lot better. Maybe you could put all that stuff in the rakeback tab etc.

Scrolling on the new dashboard goes pretty slow though, only on the frontpage, in the forums no problem. More people with the same experience? Is it my browser or is it DC?

Would it be possible to add to the Latest Threads on the Dashboard the name of the subforum the thread is in? Often I click on a topic title that says 1/2, only to find that it is Limit instead of NL. If the subforum was added, it would be easier to select which topics to read.

Not sure if you all noticed, but I just noticed you can x-out of recommended videos and another one loads!

Since the new Dashboard came out, I find myself going to DC a lot more now. The long columns of current threads is awesome. Thanks DC.

IDEA: Can we get the info-rollover/hover for videos on the Dashboard? I was hoping someone else would mention it, so I wouldn't be the complainer.

Rollovers works for messages, but we actually have to go to the video page to see the cool rollover for more info.
