Sick run Aaron, awesome to be representing DC on the final table of a big tournament. Congratulations.
thanks guys. obv ran sick hot vs vanessa to get there. sucks it had to be vs her. in that weird bummed out but also happy to represent for DC mode.

was the structure in this bad? seems like alot of open jamming late, which is really normal online but in live mmts usually indicates a bad structure. How many bbs deep were avg stacks w/ like 3 tables left?

meh. great job and we both played well. definitely don't sweat the set. as i was saying to rob not very eloquently while intoxicated, when you have a hand where we're destined to get it in, we're playing a 7 card hand since neither of us has any choice in the outcome. so you with TT and me with AA and a T on the flop is the same thing as you with AA and me with TT and no T on the flop, except that i don't get to whine about a "bad beat." So seriously, it really isn't even a bad beat. But in any event, it is sort of lame that neither of us got to tear up the final table. Guess we'll have to go deep in the ME ![]()
when we where like 80players left i think the average stack were around 15bb wich isnt that great imo...
yeah it was a super weird structure. it was average like 15-18bb for most of the late stages, until we got to the final 2 tables, when the average was over 30 bb for the rest of the tourney. i don't really get how that happened. it definitely made for a different sort of tourney, as 3-bet bluffing wasn't really much of an option since no one had any chips.
I have been saying what Vanessa said for years. If both players have 2 obvious hands to play for stacks and my hand is "better" after 2 cards, I consider it losing a coinflip because if I had the "worse" hand, the hand would have played out the same way.
On the other hand, if someone does something dumb like cold-call all of their chips for 75BB's with QJ to my EP 3-bet and I have TT and lose, I will most assuredly go on super monkey tilt even though his/her chance of winning is much better than a scenario where I lose with AA to Wilt's TT.
BTW, congrats everyone and keep owning.
