REALLY enjoying myself so far...

I'm still down about 4BI after a bit over 3K hands. (losses from my massively bad first session)

But I'm having fun and trying some new things, like underbetting to induce a raise vs certain opponents.

I still get that feeling like I'm folding to too many 3bets... but at 10NL that feeling is most likely incorrect and I'm folding enough/not enough.

I too bustoed, 5Bi of 20NL seemed a tad too aggressive. GOGOGOGGOGOGO

Not a fan! I watched an old Sigur Ros video I hadn't seen for a while though and everything was ok again.

this.

i find myself anticipating my daily sessions more everyday. i've always been bad with taking long breaks between bursts of play. and i'm always rusty even with 1 day off, and it takes me another day or two to settle down. but then i'm breaking again for a few days, and the cycle repeats. and because i don't play regularly, i push myself too hard when i am playing (playing a bit too tired, playing a bit too long).

but this. this is something entirely different. there's an easy comfort knowing i will play again tomorrow, of just doing the necessary things for tomorrow instead of being desperate in the now in fear of not knowing when i'll play again. i never understood the following quote quite as acutely as right now.

"If I neglect my practice a day, I see the difference in my execution; if for two days, my friends see it; and if for a week, all the world knows my failure."

I guess I can but that kinda defeats the point of the challenge and it's not really fair towards the rest imo since it's either quick bust or almost guaranteed win.

No I mean the $1000 bracket. I'm not even in the $100 bracket because the rules didn't allow it.

I would imagine that the challenge is hugely - EV for GC to play in anyway Smile

Yeah I agree, because you don't really have a level playing field if people like us are playing 400 because I think it's really trying to be a $1000ish roll challenge and clearly playing 400nl is requiring a much larger roll than 1000.
