FWIW when I originally talked bad in the previous thread about British comedies I was thinking of something completely different.
Growing up in BFE Iowa we only had 4 TV stations and one TV. Before I was old enough to do anything besides watch TV with my parents on Saturday night I can remember them watching British Comedies on public television. I remember them being horrible. Although looking at this highlight clip I might have just not been old enough to get it.

The IT Crowd isn't totally unfunny, I'll admit it has its moments. I guess I'm just a little disappointed that out of all the fantastic comedy we've produced this side of the pond you picked the IT Crowd out as a highlight.
i dunno i just feel like i can relate to it really well. i'm always open to other suggestions as i don't really know what else is out there.

The Inbetweeners is excellent, but I don't know how well Americans will "get it", just as I'm not sure how well Europeans would get a comedy based on American highschool kids. The humour may be very subjective and is very tied in with certain aspects of English life that you may not relate to, but check it out.

I hated thew IT crowd when it first came out, but the latest series grew and grew on me. It's say it's pretty good now. I might even re-watch the original series to compare. The boss is golden.
