The only requirement is that they are closed (although I live in a nice big place it's amazing how far and deep the screams of our 2 year old can pierce). They obviously need to be comfortable as they are what I'll be using whilst grinding. Up to this point I have been using Sennheiser HD212Pros but I find that their sound quality is deteriorating (my DC headset produces better sounds right now).

I have no idea if matters, I'm not a sound guru, but they'd be mostly used for listening to classical.

Sennheiser HD 650

Expencive but very good headphones.

I personally use my headset, Sennheiser PC 350, to listen to music because its really comfortable and the sound quality is awesome.

Edit: I think your HD212pro headphones are designed for DJ´s. Means they might not produce hifi soundquality because thats not what is desired for monitoring etc...

My suggestion would be beats by dr. dre.

Take that with a pinch of salt though, as the man can do no wrong in my eyes. All the cool kids are wearing them though!

I use Sennheiser HD215. Excellent headphones. I've been using these for about 2 years now and they're still in very good shape. Imo they produce really good sound, not too bass heavy but very "clear". They're also really comfortable.

I didn't test many but I love my Bowers and White headphones. Apple carries them. They crush Beats and Bose but are more expensive. They hurt my ears a little the first day but after that I haven't had any problems.

Try setting all the test ipods to a violin concerto and listen.

HD202 are definitely more for bass-heavy music though. I also enjoyed my time with these phones.
