I like Day9's advice of sticking to basic units and expansions more than expected. I keep updating my notes, and I have them on a piece of paper I keep in front of me while playing. Here are my new ones:

Defense/Micro:
!Constantly spend money
!Constantly use Chrono Boost
!Focus on army, then workers, then upgrades, then defense buildings
-Constantly build army and army buildings
-Constantly train workers
-Get upgrades and their buildings at the right time
-Get resource/perimeter defense buildings sometimes
-Get tier 2 units and upgrades at the right time
-Counter opponent's army
-Expand at the right times, usually while attacking
-Build enough pylons

Attacking:
!Attack more
!Scout more
-Attack workers more
-Capture the Xel'Naga towers

I put ! before the critical ones. I'm continuing to play, watch some of my losing replays, update my notes, and watch Day9 and Crota videos. I also check this thread, re-read some of my strategy guide, and will read more of Starcraft2.com

What is your favorite race? What are your favorite units and unit mix? I haven't really used much advanced Protoss units yet. I'm just focusing on Zealot, Stalker, Sentry, with some mid game Observer and Colossus backup, generally, depending on what happens in the match.

Have you used the Hallucinate magic much? I find myself not using it. I just put on some Guardian Shields before a battle, then move my Sentries closer to the right place in the front while attacking, then do some Force Fields or more Guardian Shields. I actually am not even researching this Hallucinate magic, am I underusing it? How important is upgrading Charge for Zealots? Good luck, Yojimgari

I play terran only, favorite unit mix is really game dependant but banshees seem to be my early game unit against protoss and T(unless I see reactored starport).

Yojimgari, if you want to you can post a replay and I could take a look at it.Just trying to coverr all things about protoss would be pretty hard.

i dont use it. force field is good early against zerg to block off ramps. G shield is nice for big battles.

charge is very good for a few reasons:
* keeps the meat shields in front when a big battle starts
* lets you hunt down faster units
* surrounds quicker so the effective kill strength is higher
* great for killing drones against zerg and for when you break the terran wall.

I mean if you are using zealots like at all, you need it. basically the only time i dont get it is when i go heavy air or nothing but stalkers. its rarely correct to go so hard on one thing.

Agreed, zealots without charge are pretty much dead versus anyone with reasonable unit mix or basic micro. It is painfully obvious how good charge is after researching it a few times and getting a few good surrounds on your enemies forces Smile

ok people wtf is going on with SC2 placement matchmaking. me and my friend are in bronze, ranked 14 (down from 10th) and we all the sudden were getting raped by everything. i started looking these people's profiles up to see why: they were gold league players or better! WFT! im getting owned late game! seriously! not very fun! why would it pair me and my roomate against a pair where one is diamond 1v1, plat 2v2, and gold 3v3 and 4v4!!!!????????? gezzzzzssss!

if you win a lot of games, they match you with harder players and try to keep you at a 50/50 win-loss ratio. the leagues are just a way to keep track of where you stand relative to a small player pool rather than listing you as like 102,388/ 1,324,872 or something. the league actually has nothing to do with who you play.

From what i've heard if you win 5 games in a row when you're ranked in the top 5 of your ladder then you'll move up
