become one - TV is in a renaissance right now

Slight hijack, but has anyone else been disappointed with The Pacific? Band of Brothers was almost the GOAT, so obviously the bar was set really high, but the story and characters haven't been really developed nearly as well, imo.

It will probably suffer as the seasons progress.

The thing that tilts me the most is how the wife is willing to divorce Walter for manufacturing meth and leave him yet she comes back to her boss after realizing that he manufactures the company's earnings to make it seem like a profitable company. To me, the fake earnings is worse because it tricks people and some people can based their financial life on those data. In Walter's case, it's not his fault people like to get high.

I just watched the first episode of season one because of reading this thread, not sure yet what to think; it has potential.

we've had some TV threads... they come and go... do a search for an older one and add some stuff to it to bring it back to the front page

Agreed. New season should be fantastic imo.

Yeah, I kind of want to read the books now to skip ahead.
