If you buy FTP points using Iron Man medals, then use those points to buy something, does that affect rakeback? I have a ton of points, probably a ton of medals, and really no clue what I can do with any of them that won't affect rakeback. What are people usually doing?

You cant withdraw your FTP points withtout affecting your RB afaik Wink

Remember that it hits your rakeback.

extremely hard. I got the webcam for my parents and it cost $90 in rakeback. FT points are useless.

Not that I'm grinding FT hard at the moment, but can someone explain the impact on rakeback?

Does that impact carry over to using FTP to enter tournaments?

What if you claim your points after your rakeback is paid and then you don't play for a week? Does your rakeback go into negative

Value of the points used is deducted from gross rake. So in essence you get only 73% of what the points are worth.

If you claim your points and get your gross rake negative, you just need to get it to positive before receiving any more rakeback.

But spending your iron man medals does not affect rakeback, unless you buy a bonus, which would then be subtracted from your rakeback, but would still be a good deal. If I have it right and you bought the $600 bonus w/ medals, your total rake would be reduced by $600 and you would still come out ahead $438 vs. if you hadn't taken the bonus. (600 - (600*.27))

I would use them to enter MTT's, or to buy the security device.

Yes. They don't even have anything worth getting. At least UB has PS3s or Xbox360s + games.

so..can we have a conclusion that spending the iron man medal on the 600 dollar bonus is better than purchasing 100k ftp points?

You will not be penalized for spending iron man medals, however your rake back will be docked $162 as you clear your $600 bonus. You will net $438 after your rakeback is re-raked. So yeah the bonus is a good deal.

(I haven't done this yet, but that is my understanding of how it works)
