I play for a living, i finally have a big enough roll where i only need to make 3k per month for living expenses and im fine.
Im a showdown bound type of guy, i like having reads, i like calling down im definately less agressive than most people, i hate making people fold and i hate folding.
Is plo for me? If i make the switch ill start watching videos and play plo only, but since i support a whole family i don't want to make the wrong decision. I have no idea what kind of game plo is.. i have played it hu for fun at small limits, which means nothing.
I just PTR'd a bunch of 1/2 and 2/4 tables and every multitabler is down 5 to 50k with no waitlists.. which is why im kind of interested hehe.
So what are your thoughts?

If you were to move to PLO, I wouldn't expect to play the same NL stakes you play. Just because you have a roll for it doesn't mean you have the skill level for that stake. Play PLO just be aware of your experience/knowledge of the game.
If i was you i would keep playing NL and have maybe one omaha day a week and see how you do.

There is lots of money to be made in PLO if you do the work to be good and have the emotional stability to deal with the swings. Even the best PLO players have to deal with ridiculous variance. I couldn't play PLO as my main game -- I'd be suicidal inside of a month.

From your description it sounds like you would hate PLO.
Agreed but why not give it a shot if you are looking for a new game. There is really only one way to see if you will like it. I gave PLO a test drive and haven't played a hand of NL since.

Based on your description it sounds like you're ideal for LHE, but definitely not PLO (you have to fold a lot in PLO and you have to work hard to make people fold a lot as well). Worth a try regardless though!

yes i always wanted to play LHE because one of my only strenght in poker is making the right call more than not which is why my winrates have always been so good.
but games are dead, not worth learning by myself just so i can go grind the 24 tabling sne breakeveners or the 1 or 2 games running on other sites
