So there has been some questions up in the air as far as pokerstars offering rakeback is concerned. Pokerstars does not offer conventional rakeback perse but they do offer cashback in bonuses. I decided to do a rakeback equivalent from my samplesize of 30k hands in FRNL50z (zoom).

All calculations will be having alread obtained the level... not on the way there. All estimates will be 4tabling FRNL50z which equates to ~1000 hands per hour.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First off is platinum star... (took me less than a week to get in FRNL50z):

1k hands = 128.2169 VPP ------ Plat Star = 320.5425 FPP
Rake = $21.369 per 1k hands

4 hours a day / 5 days a week = 20 hours per week
20 hours per week x 4 weeks = 80 hours per month

80 hours / month = 10257 VPP ---- so 10k VPP per month is easily achievable and will be used for this estimate.

Stellar Rewards = $100 per 10k VPP
Cash Back Bonus: $650 per 50,000FPP = .013c per FPP (cannot use supernova trade value)

10k VPP x 2.5 Platinum Star multiplier = 25,000 FPP x .013c = $325

Total Bonuses = $325 + 100 = $425

10k VPP / 128.2169 VPP per 1k hands = 77.99k hands = ~78k hands
78k hands x $21.369 rake/1k hands = $1666.78

Total Rake = $1666.78

Percent Rakeback = $425 / $1666.78 = ~25.5% Rakeback

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Supernova....

Stellar Rewards = $1300

Cash Back = $.016 per FPP per 250,000 FPP
100k VPP x 3.5 Multiplier = 350k FPP x .016 = $5600

Total Rewards: $6900

100k VPP / 128.2169 VPP per 1k hands = 779.9k hands = ~780k hands
780k hands x $21.369 rake/1k hands = $16667.82

Total Rake: $16667.82

Rakeback Equivalent: ~41.4%

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Supernova T2

Stellar Rewards = $1300 + $2600 = $3900

Cash Back = $.016 per FPP per 250,000 FPP
200k VPP x 3.5 Multiplier = 700k FPP x .016 = $11200

Total Rewards: $15,100

200k VPP / 128.2169 VPP per 1k hands = ~1560k hands
1560k hands x $21.369 rake/1k hands = $33,335.64

Total Rake: $33,335.64

Rakeback Equivalent: ~45.3%

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This does not include unlocking deposit bonuses which can increase Platinum star rakeback dramatically... example ($600 deposit bonus cleared in ~10k VPP) so adding that to the above plat star equation gives ~61.5% Rakeback for each month stars has one

Thanks for doing this.
Can I ask you to clarify something.

Rakeback Equivalent: ~41.4%

Is this the % from the point you achieve SN or the average % you receive starting from scratch and hitting SN?

It is after having achieved nova... the following calander year... getting to nova (if you saved your FPP) would be ~35ish% because of the graduating FPP multiplier on the way up 1.5x bronze, 2x Gold, 2.5x Platinum

forgot to mention.... The VPP per hour at FRNL50z was gained with a nitty 12%VPIP

it won't change the rakeback percent but if you have a higer VPIP it will change the amount of time it takes to acquire said levels/prizes since more VPIP = More Rake Contribution = More VPP per hour

It seems that the stars system is only good for mega grinders but if you only have about $200 of rake per month you will be better off with rakeback

Looks like the bonus structure on stars changed today (unless this changed earlier and I missed it) but seems it's just making it easier to get cash in smaller installments. Only real winner seems to be supernova I think with the $1500 at 0.015 changing to $1600 at 0.016

FPP break down
Bronze
$10 - 1000fpp - 0.01
Silver
$25 - 2250fpp - 0.011 (actually 0.01111)
Gold
$75 - 6250fpp - 0.012
Platinum
$200 - 15400fpp - 0.013 (actually 0.01299)
Supernova
$600 - 40000fpp - 0.015
$1600 - 100000fpp - 0.016
