so I'm a donkamenteur and am really uncomfortable playing 3-b pots on mono-suit boards with 100bb or deeper (for obvious reasons I think).

I think we had like 150 effective so basically any turn bet commits me. I was scared I would have like 0-10% equity if the money went in so I checked.

Should I upload my picture to weaktightpoker.com?

I play Zoom in like 100-hand moments of inspiration so we are operating in a total vacuum.

serious question: why did you 3b pre? you don't include any info on these guys, so i think you basically just auto'd this spot. it's not bad, but it might not be best, either.

in fact, you don't say ANYTHING about your opponents here, which is why this spot is so hard for you.

yeah I sit zoom for like 50-100 hand sessions so it's a complete vacuum!

I 3b pre because I hear it is somewhat unprofitable to flat here multiway with KQo but squeezing is profitable? I heard it from different sources so I thought it'd be a good idea at the time Poke Tongue

I like pre against most opponents, so in a vacuum it looks like a fine option.

The flop is very tough to judge because I can picture going bet/bet(allin on the turn) against some guys, but also ch/c, ch/f. And that mostly depends on the preflop calling ranges. On these kinds of boards you should in general be careful with how to bet top pair type hands. Your cbet frequency should be lower and your hands stronger. For example QQ/JJ can be a ch/f on this board.

I tried to give some guidance but its extremely hard to say anything meaningfull about this spot without info.

how could it possibly be unprofitable to play KQ getting like 5:1? think about it this way: you're calling 1BB preflop. you could fold the flop basically all the time you miss and just occasionally bluff or get to showdown/get value when you improve. all you need to do is average 1BB expectation postflop. do you really think that does not happen?

again, not saying 3b is 'bad.' i am suggesting that calling may well be a viable option (read: +ev, possibly most +ev), particularly as you get comfortable playing NL cash).

a) You know calling is definitely +EV, given the super good pot odds.
b) With no info about your opponents, you can't be sure squeezing will be a +EV option.

I'd choose a), because it sucks to build a huge pot w/o reads, while being OOP.
