NL Holdem $2(BB)
SB ($81)
Hero ($202)
CO ($200)
BTN ($228)

Dealt to Hero JHeart 8Heart

fold, fold, SB raises to $5, Hero calls $3

FLOP ($10) 6Club 8Spade 4Spade

SB bets $6, Hero calls $6

TURN ($22) 6Club 8Spade 4Spade 8Club

SB checks, Hero bets $20, SB calls $20

RIVER ($62) 6Club 8Spade 4Spade 8Club 5Club

SB checks, Hero bets $171 (AI)

I have not much hands on SB wich seems a fish not very passive, when playing i figured out he could still pay with overpairs or even worse 8s and that if he'd have closed the fd he'd have donkshoved most likely. D'you think is fine or too thin? He has 50 behind

What worse hand is calling the river shove?

Well there is 33 combos overpairs assuming he doesnt do stuff like limp in with them pre.
He prob has a few 7x in his range, 67/74s/77/55(24c) maybe more depending how bad he is, and perhaps a few flush draws, i agree though he will lead river with them sometimes.

I like the bet, though im not sure if a smaller sizing would be better? Is he calling a shove with overpairs here?

Meh, i changed my mind but can't edit anymore.
I think he will have 76/74s/77/55(24combos) and perhaps 79/flushes sometimes, but not all overpairs because rec players limp them sometimes...
If he slow played turn, it's more likely to be better than hand, than worse.
I think it's a bit too thin, but prefer a bet of $19 if i bet.

I suck at poker though.

Think he's probably betting all 8's ott and if he's fishy, probably flush draws too (usually a small bet). And as you said, he's probably donking flushes on the river, but you can't say that for certain.

I think the x/c looks a lot like a pair with a straight draw or an overpair. With all the combos of pair + straight draw, some make 2 pair and some make straights.

Combine that with some overpairs that might call and think you can bet, but I guess it's close.

Maybe betting small to get called by a wider range is good, the flush card may scare him into folding a lot.
