Villain is a winning reg. However, his flop cbet is abnormally high over the hand samples, 90%.

The flop smacks my calling range. My perceived range is very strong on this flop however my actual hand only gets value from pure air (and I believe the majority of hands he will continue on the turn beat me). So I thought it was better to turn my hand into semibluff by raising cbet on the flop and cbet on the turn on any card to fold out all the overpairs and obv value betting when i do hit. If he 3 bets the flop (expecting him to do with sets) I was planning on 4 bet shoving with 10 outs (except two combo of JTs) with the amount of money in the pot.

I hit the nuts on the turn, so I value bet and he calls. Now I realized he has at least a set and he didnt 3 bet with it on the flop.

River is one of the worst card for my hand. Based on the range i put him on the turn, it looked like check fold is the best option.

Any thoughts on my thought process? Thanks

Yep, X/F the river. He's never value betting worse, and it's more or less impossible for him to have any bluffs if he bets since sets and flush draws got there. It's very unlikely he turns something like QQ into a bluff.

could have 78s so not impossible wud prob call that on the turn cause of set blockers, still an easy c/f as is only 3 combos

Even so, for him to have all 3 of those combos in his bluffing range he has to

1) Never fold the turn
2) Always bluff the river

I don't think either of those scenarios are true. We could maybe give villain 1 combo of 78s, but you're right that even if he has all 3 it's still a X/F because villain's river betting range crushes us.
