Villain is a reg. 30/25/WTSD:30/CBet:75 (F),39(T)/ AggFreq:47,37,32
He is 24/23 from MP.

My std line would be to bet the turn but I also do this sometimes bc I like to take that line with my floats (i.e check back the turn and bet river).
OTR, his c/r doesn't make sense apart from TT (he would barrel T with AT). ok with the call?

I probably call here with the line you took. After checking back on the turn you rep very little on the river while at the same time I can't imagine villain going for a x/r with any type of value hands as most times you check back with showdown and never pay off with a missed draw.

no idea what he's doing. i've seen bluffs here even though it's a pretty terrible way to represent a hand. i think with a hand this strong you should bet turn. save your slightly weaker Ax hands for this balancing line.

balancing for the sake of balancing is stupid. Do whatever is the highest EV. No one knows or cares about how you construct your actual range and you probably should stop floating UTG opener with another player left to act.

Villain's line makes no sense unless he expects you to float with another player left to act so it's not a bad call. Also, I think you should 3 bet pre. I think offsuit broadways are terrible vs tight preflop ranges but that's different topic.

what i mean is, blah, A8s or whatever here would be thinner, since people will occasionally take odd lines with better hands. there are fewer such hands when we have AQ. it is both balancing AND higher ev with these hands.

i don't believe this guy's range is that tight, and AQ is certainly at the top of offsuit broadways. when you consider people's EP ranges, they still contain plenty of AXs. AQo should be in great shape v this range, whereas KQo doesn't dominate much/anything and is a great 3b bluff.

I wasn't responding directly to your post terp and I completely agree that A8s is higher EV to take this line with even if we're trying to balance. That was more in response to

got your point about balancing blah. It does make more sense indeed to check back weaker Aces on the turn.
