I can see c/r the flop.
C/c is quite good too, but if Im calling I am most certainly calling the turn without info on his DB freq/range, because c/r gets you in this bad spot.
Also as played this is a simple fold. He never has a J here.
Sometimes he has Ah or Jh but most of the time this is a flush.

I don't really like the turn c/r since I think we're overrepping our hand a lot. Which I guess isn't a very good reason to not like c/ring since we can still get called by worse, but I think I'd still rather c/c and c/decide on the river. As played I agree with Nowayfolding (fold river.)

a standard TAG that steals 5%? wtf
lets assume he has at least 25%
you cant really give yourself much implied odds on this board, so c/r and barrel against his callingrange is ok in theory. but id say it's a BE play at best.
against 5% c/c + lead on hit
as played call turn, dont raise
standardish
tilt

This is a flop where you need to anticipate how future streets are going to go. Check calling the flop is a bad option, all you have is a weak draw. Check raising is better, and this is also one of the few spots where it is definitely fine to lead out, because you can balance it by leading out two-pair on the flop, since when you have two pair you aren't really gonna wanna c/r, get called, and have a bloated pot out of position on a scary turn (and there are many scary turns).
On the turn we see even more why check calling flop is bad; we got there and we are still in a precarious spot. As played, I would lead the turn. If you get raised, you can call and see what comes on the river. If he bets river you can safely fold (because he would surely check a naked jack on the river). Thing is, if you c/r turn, he might shove a naked jack, putting you in an awful position, which you ended up in. As played there is not much you can do...calling and folding are both bad, but calling is probably slightly better. The real key here is what actions you take on prior streets.

Good post, about how we shouldnt have gotten into this spot.
I do disagree that calling the c/r is correct though. We arent getting good odds and I dont ever think he shoves a naked jack or Jh or Ah or some random heart enough of the time to warrant a call.
