Please help guys, I can't see powerpoint links except in episode5 where the link is posted by someone and when I download that I get extension .pptx, and when I change the file extension to .ppt I can't open it (I have powerpoint software but the file is not recognised by it/is corrupted).

Are there powerpoints to all of the episodes and if so where are the links?

Thanks for your help.

I think .pptx is the new office version, and you probably got the old one. You can't open it, but the uploader can save the presentation in the old format.

Loving the series guys. Do you (or anyone else) know of an efficient way to "drill" oneself on handreading in sort of rapid fire succession?

I've tried to figure out a good way to do this for like 15 minutes before playing a session, but haven't found it to be as efficient as I'd like. I've tried opening up one or two tables online and just observing the action w/ a HUD on, trying to put the players involved in the hands on a range and continually narrowing on each street and then seeing if the hands shown down correctly fit into the range I'd assigned by the river. But this gets very frustrating as so few hands are shown down and my attention span doesn't last too long. I've also tried just reading hand histories posted on the forums and going through the same street by street thought process, but again the results are so rarely posted so it's hard to keep myself accountable and get the feedback I'd like to know if my handreading was successful or not.

Anyone know of any places/links where you can do this kind of "drilling" more efficiently?

if you see hands posted in a forum, just discuss your thought process and dont worry about the actual results

so long as your thought process is correct and explorative, you'll probably get better at handreading as applied in your actual playing sessions. gl

What stakes can you start applying these concepts would you say as low as 100 nl?

which concept? to be concerned about your perceived range?

against good players probably as low as 50nl, but probably not against the majority of opponents till midstakes. even at 1/2 and 2/4, a lot of people frequently make spewcalls when your perceived range contains no bluffs.

yes i meant perceived range and double and triple barreling.I Was hoping to see more material on what we perceive opponents hand ranges in various situations as well as deducing villains hand range as the hand goes further on,This is a huge weakness i have,my thinking gets blurry as hand progresses .i would like to be able to think through the hand more logically ,instead of auto piloting or going in fear mode,is there anything you can recommend me to do to break my bad case of auto piloting?

the best thing you can do if the pressure of the moment is too much is to review hands with friends who are at a similar stage of poker understanding. present the hand street by street with reads. let your friend ask you for other reads. this will both help you see how others might be seeing things that you aren't and allow you to 'play' hands out without the real-time stress of actual play.

If the turn bricks can you raise for value as there are less bluffs and more made hands in his range when he bets the turn?
