$200.00 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players -

SB: $185.70
Hero (BB): $1181.92
UTG: $152.10
MP: $267.05
CO: $350.35
BTN: $200.00

Pre Flop: ($3.00) Hero is BB with 9 Club K Diamond
3 folds, BTN raises to $4, SB calls $3, Hero raises to $20, 1 fold, SB calls $16

Flop: ($44.00) Q Diamond J Heart Q Club (2 players)
SB bets $22.00, Hero calls $22

Turn: ($88.00) 8 Heart (2 players)
SB bets $44.00, Hero raises to $1139.92

BTN: 24/20, steals 65% from the BTN and folds to 72% of 3-bets

SB: 51/8/3.5/42/50/(55) | VPIP/PFR/AF/WTSD/W$SD/(Hands)
Fold to C-Bet F: 40% (25% OOP)
Donk Flop: 36%
AFq F/T/R: 58 / 56 / 38
WWSF: 58%

Reads:
- donks POT,1/2 w/ 2 overcards
- 1/2 for value IP
- floats super light OOP vs small cbet sizing
- unable to fold any pair?
- OR 2bb: AJo
- c-bets 1/2 and below = 2 overcards
- able to Hero Call AJ-high

Preflop
Two way 3-bet. Bluff vs reg and value against the fish.

Flop
- fish was seen bluffing 1/2 with w overcards in a similar sized pot
- fish usually tend to slowplay
- fish often bluff on paired boards
- I have a gutter+1 over if called

All in all I see his range is full of AIR. My plan is to float his bluff on the flop, let him fire the turn and then ship it to collect the most dead money.

Turn
According to the plan I move all-in.

I was fully conscious of this, but I don't put A-high in his donking range. I put him on some random air like Kx, Tx, 9x and other stuff that is in 51% VPIP range. And even if he has A-high, he might still fold, because this time he is in a massively bloated pot where I rep a giantic strength. Earlier he called A-high in a single raised pot.

II rep a giantic strength.

You really think this dude cares what you rep?

Most likely he doesn't. I probably thinks binary "he can have it" or "he can't have it". We have to confront 2 reads:
- ability to call with A-high
vs
- usual tendency to slowplay + fact that he donked with AIR

But I already see I won't convince you Smile
However, I'd like to know what is your opinion and how you would play this hand. Call down till the river or fold the turn?

I'd raise smaller preflop like 16-18 and raise the flop and be done with the hand or just flat preflop. Bluff catching with stuff where even bottom of villain's range has good equity vs you is usually not a good idea unless you have very good idea on how they play.

Ok I agree with you, I could have reached the same goal while risking smaller amount of money. Shouldn't have done this without having a better idea on how they play.

Fortunately Villain has folded.

Nan ying, let's say you have AT/AQ/AK, do you still raise the flop? (if you don't have an idea how the fish plays).

We have showdown value but at the same time, it's a weak sd and we don't know how he's gonna play turn and river. He has some equity which makes a raise better and he could get cheaply to showdown with a weak PP. We have good equity so we don't need much FE.
