Villain is a 22/18 and we have played a few pots but no weird dynamic going on. He has folded to 2 out of 2 cbets. It's not much but it makes me pretty sure that he isn't calling flop with KTo and that he probably has some kind of hand.

What are his range here and how are we responding to his checkraise.

PokerStars - $2 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 3 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

SB: $91.55
BB: $228.16
Hero (BTN): $202.27

SB posts SB $1.00, BB posts BB $2.00

Pre Flop: ($3.00) Hero has TDiamond 8Diamond

Hero raises to $6.00, fold, BB calls $4.00

Flop: ($13.00, 2 players) 9Diamond 7Heart QClub
BB checks, Hero bets $8.69, BB calls $8.69

Turn: ($30.38, 2 players) JDiamond
BB checks, Hero bets $20.30, BB raises to $60.00, [color=red]Hero

Initially I was going to say just call, but after looking at it more, I think I would just shove. His range to me looks like some sets, 2pr, and maybe some hands like T9 or JT that are being turned into a bluff. That said, it seems to me that his range is fairly strong here and I would rather just get the money in because I think a decent amount of river cards will kill our action.

Yeah just ship it here. You say he seems pretty straight forward, so with straight forward players the line he took is often a super strong hand. Ship it in and ship the gold.

Let's get the money in here. If he has KT we've still got outs, if he's got T8 we're freerolling, and everything else we beat (sets/2pr). This isn't a spot where he would be bluffing very often imo. And like zachd said, with his value hands he doesn't really want a card to roll off that kills his hand or action.

Thanks for the advice. I did shove and he folded much to my surprise. There is no way he's folding top two or a set, right?

I mean maybe, there are a ton of straights that just got there. Although idk why he would c/r here on that board if he was going to fold to a ship. There is a chance that he was trying to OOP float you and thought that you would give up two pair type hands because the turn is so scary. Id def note this hand and look for him to do it again.
