is the step 6 transferrable as T$ or W$?

No. The Step 6's are 6-max winner take all 12k. Step 6a are two table 12-man where top 2 get 12k.

You get 1k direct to your account if you win. Then you can register for the ME directly on Stars which is where the other 11k goes. Or you can just get the 11k to your account as cash. If you take the package you get 100k VPP's and automatic SuperNova. You have a room at the Palms for a week, and you get into a $1MM freeroll. You also cannot sign another sponsership deal if you make a deep run in the ME.

"Cannot" is all very subjective, from what I hear. They gauge you so bad with that deal, that I can't honestly say that I'd have qualms about doing what others I know have done...

Well for 99-100% of the players that qualify through the steps it won't be an issue. Plus they'll probably be so overwhelmed if they do make the final 2-3 tables that they won't think of making another deal.

Yes, you could probably sign with another site and "reneg" on your contract, and at that point buying yourself our of the Stars contract would be trivial. Although I'm sure Stars would be happy to give you a better deal at that point as well.
