Hey guys,

Realized that I have been quiet as of late so I wanted to give you an update on the new version of Deuce Plays. Expect the subscription to kick in in about 3-4 weeks. I'll be producing 2 more free episodes the next two tuesdays. The podcast will be weekly and the price is yet to be determined.

Deuce Plays will be free for all Multi-Month subscribers (those who pay for more than 6 months of membership to Deuces Cracked in advance). You also do not need to be a member of Deuces Cracked to subscribe. We are testing three levels of pricing--$6.00, $7.95 or $9.95. Was hoping to get some constructive input on those figures. Would the higher end dissuade some of you from subscribing?

You can always follow news about the podcast on my twitter @barthanson.

I am subscribing at $9.95 still. Anyone that doesn't think they are getting that amount of value from these are not going to think they are getting value from $6 either. Would be good to have a different rate for signing up for 6 months in advance or annual in advance rather than going month by month though.

If you want to play with the numbers anywhere then I suggest you focus your efforts on making introductory offers of one month for free rather than varying the fees to get new signups.

Good luck.

If you subscribe month to month, would you have to sign up for podcast separetly?

I get more than 9.95 a month in direct value from the podcast. I would be happy to pay that amount.

It depends who's on it.

Is it exactly the same format as at the moment? So we're getting 4 x 1 hour episodes for $9.95?

TBH, I dont think its worth it. Compare 4 hours of Bart talking for $10 to the DC subscription of $30 for 100's of hours of archived videos. It's too much.

I absolutely love, and have gotten a hell of a lot out of the podcast. So tyvm Bart and DC

I'm a multi-month subscriber on DC, so the podcast will be free for me...(thank youSmile)
I've gotten a ton from the podcast and $9.95 a month seems very reasonable to me, but ralphcifaretto makes a good point about the amount of video content available on DC when comparing prices.....
What about this:
-Podcast is free to multi-month DC members
-Podcast costs a reduced amount for non-multi-month DC members
-Podcast costs the $9.95 rate for non-DC members

FWIW, I love the podcast and am excited for upcoming episodes under the new payment structure.

I would think that if your a paying memeber to DC the podcasts should be free, like the videos.

$9.95 vs $30 a month for a full site could be a stretch only becasue of the perceived value that $30 a month with access to the whole back catalogue of videos offers.

Maybe DC should come out with a lite membership for like $15 a month where you get a set number of downloads i.e. 16 videos/podcasts

The issue for you isnt really a price but if your content will consistently be valuable enough for people to continue to subscribe. E.g. Your Slow Habit/Improva/Baluga/hand reviews are awesome content but can you deliver that every week/month so people will keep subscribing?

Will Pod-casts will be only down-loadable through DC site? No more Itunes?

The $9.95 price point seems very reasonable to me. I am looking forward to a weekly podcast and am happy to pay $10 a month to get it.

$10 per month for basic hand reading tips and hearing the host whining because he can't beat donkaments seems fair to me.
