I would even fold on the flop. I can't see him raising with AK there unless he is very loose. You can't beat much there... 1010, QQ, KK , AA. If he was playing tight, I think these hands are definetely in his raising range preflop....

damn thats tough. I may have been inclined to shove that flop. The only likely hand that he could have had there were 10s+ and AQ+ and there were only 3 ways to hold 10 10 since there was one on the board. There are 16 ways to hold AK and 16 ways to hold AQ and 6 AA, 6 KK and 6 QQ. 21 hands that have you crushed and 32 hands you crush.

Hindsight is always 20/20 look at this hand again.
Pre Flop: ($0.30) Hero is UTG with J J
Hero raises to $0.60, 3 folds, SB raises to $2.20, 1 fold, Hero calls $1.60 <----$2.20 seems like a little biggish raise...he wants you to fold. smells like AK or < 10 10
Flop: ($4.60) 4 T 8 (2 players)
SB bets $1.50, Hero raises to $4, SB raises to $11.10, Hero calls $7.10
Kinda smallish flop bet. Would like you to fold on the cheap. You raise, then he raises a big amount. Doesnt add up..seems desperate. Would he do that with an over pair. two pair, or a set? Doubt it, most likel he'd call
Turn: ($26.80) Q (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks
No he's convinced youre not folding so he checks. You check behind. This was your mistake
River: ($26.80) 4 (2 players)
SB bets $52.30,
One last desperate attempt to take the pot and it works.

yah...i did see that he showed you AK before I replied the first time.
I was just looking at the hand again and it really did seem fishy the way he played it. I'm going to slow down a bit when playing and ask my self questions about bet sizes.
When I raise preflop with a middle pair or AQ AK, I have a tendency to make my raises a little larger since I'd prefer to take it down pre. Probably not the best tactic..make all raises the same. But I do it and so do other players. So it's pretty easy to see what he's holding here. However, it's a heck of a lot easier when your reviewing hand history than involved in the hand.

think this is the wrong section, but why did you raise flop? Preflop I don't mind your call as were deep but again was he 3betting light? What was his 3betting range. If he was super nit I guess we could call to set mine but that would mean I don't like your raise on the flop. Really hard to say without reads and villains tendency. If he was unkown, I don't like your raise all the more.

With the stacks this deep, I wouldn't raise the flop.
It makes no sense for you to raise this flop.
He could still rep Qs+ while you couldn't.
You are only beating all his air by raising.
As for his shoves on the river, I think you should ask yourself what exactly is he trying to accomplish here.
Is it for value or asking for a fold?
Would a FH or Qs+ play like this really?
