Hello

We had 12 members and have cut off some inactive members and have some open spots if there is interest. We have players ranging from 4NL-100NL currently but if you are a little higher (or lower) and are interested thats fine. A lot of us have received coaching so if that is something you are interested in we can recommend people who have worked well with us.

The group has been going sense last fall and I personally have moved up from a struggling 50NL player to a 100NL player and I owe a lot of it to the members of this group. Off memory most of the players in the group have moved up one level sense joining the group. We even have a guy who has gone from 10NL/25NL to 100NL. The group was originally called serious 6max, but we are just simply far from serious. There is a lot of joking around and venting and what not, but it has been great having a group of poker players who understand what it means to both feel doomswitched as well as thinking you are the next durrrr.

As for poker study we throw hands up in the chat and get into discussions that can last anywhere from 5-30min. The biggest benefit is the sweats. Having a winning reg of a higher stake has helped a lot of our lower limit players a ton. As a higher stakes guy in the group I can tell you that one of my favorite people to sweat me is a 25NL player who ask me a ton of questions. His questions either reinforce to me why I make plays or sometimes lead to me realizing a hole in my game.

The strat stuff is obvious great. Having a group of poker players who already know the state of your game helps a ton. The biggest benefit for me, however, has been having a group of poker players in a similar position as me as support group when times are tough. It helps me remember we are playing because we enjoy the game.

I too might be interested in this group, but I fall into the same exact situation as AGTJ. I have so much stuff to do between now and graduation so I wont be able to participate a lot right off but post May I should be able to play more and participate more. I'll PM you UGA
