50K CHALLENGE
Alright everyone so here is the 50K Challenge:

DETAILS:
1]There will be two categories under which you can register the 2nl & 5nl category and the 10nl & 25nl category. Depending on what stakes you play you have to register in one or the other.

2]You will have a maximum of 2 months to make the 50k hands. (from Oct 17th Saturday midnight CST to December 17th Thursday midnight CST). Registrations will be open till Oct 25th Sunday midnight CST.

3]Only the first 50k hands you play count towards the challenge.

4]You must play at least 10k hands at the higher of the two stakes in your category. So for example you can play 40k hands at 10nl but have to put in 10k hands at 25nl.

5]There will be two winners one in each category. Each winner wins a 1v1 Stat Session Review Coaching from everyone's favorite small stakes coach TUBASTEVE. The coaching will last 1hr to 1hr30mins. It will be recorded by him and distributed among the registered members. (He is giving us a special price of $40 for the 2nl & 5nl and $80 for the 10nl & 25nl).

6]To win the challenge you must meet all of the above criteria and have the best win rate in your category. So for example someone who put in 50k hands in 2 weeks with a winrate of 5bb/100 would lose to someone who took 2 months to play 50k hands and did it with 10bb/100.

7] For the 2nl & 5nl category registrations are $5. For the 10nl & 25nl category registrations are $10.(the total money will be pooled) To register you must get in contact with me by pm on DC or on skype. I will accept payments from paypal, pokerstars or fulltilt. (If the fees fall short of how much I need to pay for the coaching I will pay the rest and if the fees go over and above I will use it as a I Stacks More checking account and use it to pay for future classes and challenges winner coaching etc. which I think is pretty fair)

Sidenote: As a current special deal Tubasteve is offering coaching for 3 people for $30 per person for a total of $90. The coaching would be the 3 people sweating steve for 1hr to 1hr30mins. Another deal he is willing to offer is $90 per person for 3 people for 3 lessons for a total of $270 where steve does a video review of each person's play for 1hr to 1hr30mins. So you get 3 lessons for $90 a person.I think its a pretty good deal and for those of you looking for some cheap microstakes coaching this would be it.

Special Thanks: To Steve for working with me on the details of this challenge and all his special pricing in an effort to make coaching more affordable to the micro stakes. To Ben for questioning my every move and keeping me in check and making sure I have thought of everything.

WOO HOO I'm in Sir PM sent!! When does the 50k count start? From the time we apply? The time our application is received and confirmed? Or from the time you receive payment? I assume we don't need to be a member of the "I stacks more group" (as I am not).

Also thanks again Tubasteve for another great offer and to $tudlani for a great Idea.

Prior Poker Experience: I've been playing for the past couple of years around the micro stakes up to around 1/2 and have spent a fair amount of time focusing on MTT but have decided to make the switch back to improving my cash game.
Current Play Level: .10/.25 and below depending on my current bankroll and how I feel about my current level of play.
Goal: To successfully move up through the cash game ranks as I improve my game.
Multitable/How Many: Usually 2-4 depending on my level of concentration/knowledge of the players at my table. I normally stick with fewer tables so that I can focus more on the players at my table.
Previous Study Material: I've made my way through most of the micro grinder video series and I've read the standard intro poker books (Super System/Theory of Poker).
Current Study Material: None at the moment, college courses take up my time.
Future Study Material: As much as possible.

2. Other Random Suggestions or Questions: I don't have any questions but I'm really looking forward to working with any and everyone who wants to not only improve their game but help me improve my own. Feel free to contact me via skype or PM here on deucescracked.

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to wish good luck to everyone participating in the contest! If you have any questions about the contest or my coaching offers please feel free to PM me or send me a message on Skype at "tubasteve". Make sure you include your DC name (and tell me that you're from I Stacks More) when you add me or I may not respond, since I tend to get a lot of weird random contact requests. Smile

I have tried to work with $tudlani to come up with fair rules that will encourage solid poker and allow you guys to make a lot of money and potentially move up a limit, even if you don't win the contest! I have designed the rules to discourage mass-tabling, and keep in mind that only your first 50k hands are permissible for the contest so you better make them count! If you play 71 hours a month on 4 tables you can get in 25k hands a month, so try to budget your time accordingly.

Also remember that you must play at least 10k hands at the higher limit in your division, and in the event of a close race I may award a bonus if someone attempts to play more hands at a tougher limit but doesn't win the contest. Smile

In the event of a close race or some unforseen circumstance (such as no one reaching 50k hands, or everyone downswinging hard, etc.) I would like to reserve the right to make a judgement call on the winner. I promise I'll be fair and if there is something like a tie I'll be sure to take that into consideration when awarding the "winners". Smile

Anyway I don't really expect any problems with the rules we have laid out, so make sure you read the rules carefully and I wish you all good luck. (Even though we all know it isn't about luck. Smile )

Prior Poker Experience:None, I have about 3 months (the last 3 months) of actual focused playing and serious out look on poker.

Current Play Level:5nl with shots at 10nl
Goal:To be successful at poker to the point were I no longer have to work a 9-5 job for a living!
Multitable/How Many:4

Previous Study Material:Baby steps

Current Study Material:I am currently studying "The coaching tree" with Baluga Whale and Tubasteve. I have been listening to this series for about 3 weeks now and feel that it will take at least 2-3 more to actually take in all the info packed in this series.

Future Study Material: I'm thinking the "Professor Plotkin" Series which is mentioned several times in "The coaching tree" videos might be a good place to turn to next.

2. Other Random Suggestions or Questions: Please anyone here feel free to add me on skype. If I am on don't ever hesitate to contact me about anything poker related.

1. As long as you play anywhere from 2nl to 25nl you can join
2.If you play at the higher of the two stakes in each category you do not need to put in 10k hands at the lower stake.
Thanks for you interest.

When is the registration date for the 50k? I haven't decided yet but I have like 80 bucks on FTP that I am considering attempting to grind into a roll, and would probably do the higher bracket (if I busto it at 10nl, eh, no biggie).

Is there any room in this group? I could use a good study group to sweat / be sweated and study hands with..

I am mostly a recreational player but I am serious about studying, learning, and improving my game. I am currently a student with an easy load so I have lots of time during the day Smile

Skype Id: v1pe.skype

Age:24

Prior Poker Experience: Started playing online around January after hosting home games nearly twice a week for a few months. Began on PS playing mostly SnG's MTTs/STTs, some donkaments and dabbling at 10NL. Ran deep in a few MTT's and took my roll over to FT to play cash with rakeback.

Current Play Level: 10NL/25NL I put in about 25k hands at 10NL until I could take shots at 25NL. I played about 45k hands of 25NL but recently had a downswing so I'm back to 10NL to strengthen my game and my roll.

Goal: 25NL reg and taking shots at 50NL by the end of the year short term. 200NL reg lnng term.

Multitable/How Many: I usually play 4-6 tables although I have gone up to as many as 9.

Previous Study Material: I've watched lots videos on CR from FTP point subscriptions. I've watched most of the lower stake Coaching Tree videos and also Real Life Micro NL grinder S1 series.

Current Study Material: Currently watching the Road to Robusto series.

Future Study Material: The rest of the Coaching Tree videos, S2 of Real Life Micro NL grinder, other various videos.
