Want to be involved in a group that does regular HH swaps, hand discussions and videos?
Ill do it on my own if you guys are too lazy. Ill email myself HH's, record my own videos and analyze them and you guys wont get to see them at all...
Conditions of entry are that you play $8/$16+ 6max LHE and can think of a better team name than "LHE midstakes team". Unlikely
Im only interested in comitted people who really want to work on their game, discuss alternate ways to play hands and want to become winning midstakes to highstakes winners eventually.

More information-
Im looking for myself/members to make vidoes of our play on a regular basis and have other members make comments on their play, similar to some of the videos that have been made by DC coaches.
For instance, Deepsquat1 plays $15/$30 LHE 6max.
Myself and another member will critique the play, record the audio and post the video. Imo this is a great way to verbalise and think about the decisions that are being made and why.
I also think its helpful to anyone who watches and anyone who is involved in the video. I dont think it hurts to have more LHE content available on this site, even if it isnt made by DC coaches.
Any more suggestions are welcome.

Agreed that we could use a little more LHE content as of late. I don't feel it's the fault of the producers, there's only so much they can offer in a given season, and only so many times a certain player can play before it seems stale.
I have played higher than $8/$16+ up to $20/$40, but currently only play as high as $5/$10. I'm beating the hell out of the limit currently, for whatever that's worth.
I would be down for doing this after January. My current computer is on its last legs and I will be building a new one that can handle video production/ editing a little better.
Also, my recommendation for team name is "Minbettors Anonymous"

DD- great idea, i puta post in there now. I know what you mean, I only look in the LHE forums myself pretty much
Nfinity- I like the name "Minbettors Anonymous" thats winning atm. You can join in whenever your computer is sorted, just let us know.
Psychobingo- No dramas. You should dig out some hands vs MI that troubled you and hold onto them for when we get started.
Hoping to get some more people involved. Ill be starting this off in the next few days fwiw so Ill be in touch for contact detailsn for those interested

My name is PygmyHero, and I'm...well, I'm a minbettor.
Hi PygmyHero...
Is that what I was supposed to do?
Anyway, as per our conversation following the Home Game 2, I am definitely interested. I don't necessarily play 8/16+, but am fairly close. I don't think the other requirements present any obstacles.
As for team name suggestion, mine will be: Super Happy Fun Lucky Team.

I would be interested too, I am currently making the move from 5/10 to 8/16 and 10/20. Would be great to have an active learning group. My only problem would be that I am really busy with studying because of several exams starting in january and lasting to the midth of february. After that I think I can really start contributing. Great idea btw.
And yeah, for the name.. Relentless Minbettors on a Leash perhaps? ^^
Couldnt come up with something better..

Also, one suggestion...
I think we should decide on a chat client that we're all going to use. There are some guys who I talk to on Skype, and some I talk to on AIM. It would be really helpful if our entire group was readily accessible via the same client.
I know Skype isn't too good for chat, but clearly should be the choice if we're going to do a lot of audio stuff as well (e.g., during sweat session). As for AIM, I haven't been on it since the home game due to the security flaws I'm always hearing about. I don't know too much about it, but if we decide to go with AIM I'll try to look into some of the alternatives (e.g., Digsby).

Great idea Mike.
I think Skype is the way to go.
Im "deepsquat1980" on skype fwiw.
I like all these names btw guys, i never really thought anyone would get a cooler sounding name than "LHE Midstakes Team" but you guys have really suprised me....
Jaybeastie- Thats no problem, people are free to join at anytime.
Vucats- The reason i mentioned $8/$16+ was because too many players (imo) stay in the safe habitat of $5/$10 and never really try and move up. This group is aimed towards players who are wanting to improve their game and move up in stakes. Sometimes to the detriment of short term EV but with greater longterm EV.
What i mean by that is, you may have a bigger short term EV by 4 tabling 5/10 but longterm you will be better by 1 tabling a good 8/16 game and trying to move up imo. Obviously when bankrolls, game conditions allow. We would love to have you involved in our group, i just mention that the emphasis is on improving and eventually attempting to move up in stakes when the opportunity presents.
BTW guys, i dont want this to be my group, its a group/team and im wanting everyone to feel free to put their own ideas into it, its not like you need my permission to go ahead and make a poker video or organise a HH swap

Yeah I'm definitely looking to improve and move up, and I've been doing so pretty quickly so far. And I agree with your idea that staying at a stake that you're "comfortable" with basically just stagnates your game instead of encouraging you to improve.
What are we going to do about posting vids, file hosting site?
Skype name for everybody is VUcats. Feel free to IM me whenever.

More team logistics...this time regarding sweat sessions.
Audio: this obviously would be easy to incorporate into sweat sessions if we want to, especially if we're going to use Skype as our chat client, but everyone would need the necessary hardware. I have a headset so I'm all set there. I know jaybeastie does too as I've talked to him and I'm pretty sure Nfinity does also.
Screen sharing application: I have both TeamViewer and Mikogo and don't really have any thoughts as to one being better than the other. But if for no reason other than convenience we may want to arbitrarily decide and make sure we're all on the same one. Again, I know jaybeastie and Nfinity have TeamViewer from previous conversations. I remember improva mentioning DimDim in a thread, but have never looked into it.
