Hi

I’m about to start a study group on Google Wave!
First of it will be focused on No Limit Hold’em Shorthanded in the small stakes (NL50-NL200). Players from other limits are free to join of course but SSNL is the main focus.

The group will be focusing mainly on Video Reviews and on HH reviews from the members in the first place but maybe more general discussions later on.
I have a daytime job and there I’m blocked off from DC but I can sneak in some HH reviewing on Google Wave. That is the basic thought.
Since we will be text based we can have people from any time zone without any problems. People joining well get a Wave invite and then they will invite the next one to join and so on. Currently the wave software is a bit laggy but I think it might be really nice when it picks up speed and for one of these projects it would be perfect I think. There are very little applets available at the moment but the possibilities are really nice.

Anyways there are a lot of ways to go at this but my thinking was that we could take turns posting videos and HHs that should be reviewed.
We could either have a few discussions going at the same time or we could post one video, get responses from enough of the members to make OP happy before the main focus moves on to the next video.

I actually don’t know enough about Google wave to get this tip top from the beginning so if you join this in the beginning it will be trial and error.

Video is easier for people to post since stats and gameflow comes more naturally. Anyways I have tried this before with some friends but interest always seem to go away as soon as someone is running bad and so on so this time I will try it here were we can get a few more people and keep it going.

Just to make sure, everyone in the group should have gotten a "Welcome to the SSNL Wave" mail in their regular mail with further instructions since google wave is a little tricky in the beginning. If anyone hasn't gotten this mail or it has been spam marked then please pm me again and i will resend it to another mail or possibly PM it.

To answer the first question it has been decent amount of discussions so far but most people will have to get used to google wave since its a little.... beta-ish yet and not really intuitive hehe. Really nice once you get to "know it" though.
